  1. Something we can agree on...
  2. You'll struggle to find many people to agree with that claptrap.
  3. Oh, I take it all back! (I don't - he's still gash)
  4. His 'performance' so far today makes some of yesterday's positive comments about this useless sack of shit doubly funny.
  5. Can't understand something that happened under Pardew at Newcastle, Southampton, West Ham..? Guess he must just be toeing the line.
  6. His best hasnt happened yet as most players dont usually peak at 21.. Im guessing you have not heard of Youri Tielemans who is sought after by most of Europes top clubs, Dennis Praet another who will move on to a top club. The same shitty league produced Vincent Kompany and Romalu Lukaku who both played for Anderlecht. Stupid hour again, and again, and again...... Come on, he's only 21, so he'll get faster as he gets older, right?
  7. There are fine lines though. If he had put away a couple of the chances he had and we'd had a mediocre season safe from the drop, we'd be talking about how the best is yet to come from him. As it stands we've had a woeful season and he seems to be one of the scapegoats for that. You're right, good money should have been spent on a more proven striker for Mitrovic to play understudy to. That doesn't at all mean that he'll never fulfil his potential. Trouble is, I don't think he's got the potential to be a top-class striker. I've seen him play maybe a dozen times for Anderlecht and, much like Luuk de Jong (Netherlands' and Belgium's top flights are 9th and 10th in the UEFA rankings) he was a flat-track bully. Again, like de Jong, stick him in a decent league (Germany, England) and the limitations surface very quickly.
  8. Albert Luque looked great on YouTube man and sorry but I'm just not having it that defenders consider him as one of the top 10 most feared strikers when he's scoring at a rate of a goal every 6 games. But we have Odin's guarantee. That's the clincher for me.
  9. The header - I forget the opposition - where he actually had to head wide to miss the target he was that close in and central.
  10. How on earth can you 'guarantee' something you can't possibly deliver? He might be on Matt Targett's list, right enough.
  11. Anyone who reckoned Luuk de Jong couldn't finish when he was at NUFC should look at his FCT and PSV videos. Do Anderlecht play in the EPL? He did score against Arsenal for Anderlecht in the Champions League.. just like if the club stays up we will see a change in him and the club with Benitez. You can't argue with logic like that.

  13. Precisely. The idea that Charnley was solely responsible for the appointment of Benitez is laughable.
  14. Me neither, he played well. Obviously needs a goal but his all round play was pretty good on Monday. His link up play is very good, if he can add a few goals to that he'd be a top class old fashioned centre forward. I think that'll come in time, he needs to develop his instincts in front of goal. Not just the finishing but the movement and anticipation too. He's not there yet and probably shouldn't have the responsibility of leading the line at this stage but that's what we've got and we'll just have to hope Rafa can get a bit more out him quickly. Getting Shearer in to give him some coaching would be interesting, I think he'd benefit massively. I'm sorry but this is just absolute rubbish to think this guy will ever be a top class forward is ridiculous. This guy is 21 yet has absolutely no characteristics of a striker at all.1. He can't score, 2. He's as slow as s*** no pace at all. 3. He never seems to jump for a header so no threat in the air, 4. He has no positional sense what so ever, 5. He can not think ahead or anticipate where he should be to be a dangerous threat to the opposition If you watch him it's like watching a Sunday league player who's trying his hardest. The guy isn't even as good as Shola was and that's a damning indictment Top class forward my Arse some of you on here need to remove the blinkers There was a reason why he was on nearly every list of the best young players in Europe Because he was flattering to deceive in a dominant team in the 10th best league in Europe? I wonder how many 'merit lists' he would appear on now? Shades of Kris Boyd here - couldn't miss at rangers, couldn't hit a barn door at Boro.

  16. Which only goes to prove that philately will get you nowhere. I'll get me coat
  17. Slating Colo Saying we don't have the players to avoid the drop Very negative about Rafa Just, as posted above, the usual anti-NUFC rhetoric. He's becoming a very sad and pitiful man, not only to listen to, but also in appearance. To be fair he has a right to slate Colo. I agree, but does he have to do so in a tone that suggests his dog's just died and then insert what he thought was a clever little bit of sarcasm to round off with? Rhetorical question. Proper punditry is not difficult and he's made himself yesterday's man (oh, he must have heard me - he's just described LvG using the same term - three times).
  18. They are actually trying. They've moved him off MoTD, he's not commentating much any more as far as I can see. The Beeb are using him less and less and, as a result, he's getting bitter. This bitterness is spilling over into his work so he's even less worth listening to than ever. We're supposed to be sharing the pain of his deflated ego but no-one gives a f***, though he's yet to realise this. Like I said, he cuts a rather pathetic figure now. The hubris of being on the top show and co-commentating on the big games is all in the past.

  20. It's boring for NUFC fans - does he think anyone else is really interested in his whining drivel? It's not our fault he got demoted and is morphing into Jimmy Hill, being eased slowly out of the picture. He's backed us for the drop, surprise.
  21. Mark Lawrenson behaving like the utter cock he is on MoTD extra at the moment.

    Lee Charnley

Charnley should have got his p45 as soon as Benitez signed. The idea he's due any credit at all for getting RB in is delusional. I don't think I'm alone in having my heart gladdened by RB's appointment, but it was, sadly, tempered by the fact that Ashley and Charnley are still there.
  23. I interviewed him for a UK newspaper during his 2nd stint at Twente and he was a condescending, arrogant prick.
