You're point is fair, not disputing that, but Wolfcastle is saying we're doing worse than Derby and Swindon (with regards to getting bummed)? I don't get what he means?
-
I've never seen such consistency. Second best statistically in every game, no blips is hard to do even if that's what you're aiming for. And battered at least once in every three games is how its felt under Bruce. Just checked this season and its probably worse in fairness. Brighton, Southampton, Man United, Spurs and Leeds. So after Man City and Liverpool we'll have been battered, dominated in every way in 7 of our 15 games, nearly half. That can't have happened even with the Derby's, Swindon's and mackems of the world and Bruce will certainly be the first manager to do that whilst 'doing a good job'. Derby had 1 win and 11 points in 2007-08. They had a goal difference of -69. Swindon conceded 100 goals in 1993-94. Are you saying we get dominated more than these teams?
-
Feel the same as West Brom game. We score first, we likely win the game. If we concede first, easily see a drab draw or narrow loss.

Well that's obviously his opinion, but just because you don't agree with it it doesn't make it wrong. He's still allowed to have that opinion. I mean, we have the worst xG in the league so using stats alone he's probably right. Everybody can have their own opinion. But this is a crazy opinion. The rest of our team excluding Wilson has scored 9 goals. 4 more than Sheffield United. But Sheffield United play better football and create better chances??? It's madness, absolute madness.
-
"They still play better football than us and create better chances." :idiot2:

Only this Board could argue that Sheff United, on course for the lowest points total in Premier League history. A team that has gained 0.08 points this season, a team that hasn't kept a clean sheet, a team that has scored 5 goals this season, and never scored twice in a game. Only this Board, could argue, that they are better than Newcastle United. Wow.

This is the hatred of Bruce and the team seeping through. It's not objective. It's emotional. I've seen Sheffield United play all season. They're dire. Scored the odd goal from a corner and that's it. They create nothing, they have no midfield, and they always concede at bad times. Their game against Southampton the other day, if the Toon played like that, this forum would have been deleted for crimes against football.

This board man.

What are you actually basing it on? We have better players than Sheff United, that's where it stops. Sheff United have ONE point from 12 games.

We're better than Sheff United man

I do as well. It would be a great night if we didn't have a wanker as a manager. Still have a few beers, make some nice food or get a takeaway in. Gonna stop up and watch the Canelo/Smith fight same night.

Love at 8pm Saturday KO.

Yes, it doesn't help a player's progression having Bruce as a manager, but if you can't see why posters are so pissed off with Longstaff, then I just don't know what to say. Of course I can see why people are pissed off with him. But for a player to be bearing the brunt of our current predicament ahead of Steve Bruce, I just dont know what to say... Look at the Bruce thread - he is getting plenty of abuse I was just really annoyed with Longstaff last night. The amount of times he got caught on the ball (twice for goals), and there was a moment, where he had space, got played in through centre midfield - and he can't sort his feet out, can't take control (of a very easy pass) and the attack breaks down. Dire.
-
Brought the ball out of defence really well last night.

So lucky that goal.

He is as tame as my friend Alex and he is really, really tame guy.
-
His regression isn't on Bruce, he's just a poor player. He has no recognition of what's going on around him and his second touch is a tackle. Bruce obviously doesn't help because he's a clueless joke but I just don't rate Longstaff. His awareness is his biggest weakness like. The amount of times, he gets caught or is surprised to see a player on top of him.

We wouldn't have deserved a point but if he just clears the ball for their 3rd, it might have ended up a draw. So sloppy.
