Not really, Darlow shite for one, but equally Lascelles deflection wasn't great, and Joelinton could have stolen the show, but brain farted as usual.

Rock bottom of the league?

So with the evidence of our attacking play, Bruce was 100% holding us back. That's the best attack minded performance in ages, including Benitez. The problem now lies with defending, were abysmal at the back, not singling Ritchie out, because he's supported the attack really well, but he's dreadful defensively, he hasn't got the legs to get back when he's supported the attack, and his man marking is poor. ASM I feel need to be feeding Wilson and making better decisions when getting into the final third. I think Brentford might just tire, and we can edge this. Enjoyed it all to be fair though.

Dont like the striped collar and cuffs. The home kit as it is would be perfect with a new sponsor.

It's a good excuse to say no though, look what its cost us, were in a relegation battle here, and the manager is down and cant make contact with the team for 10 days now. They really need to tell people to stay away, no wonder Maximin told a yob to piss off.

There's been a bit of noise on twitter and YouTube around teenagers blocking cars in and out of the training ground. The club should sort this out, could be the reason the manager has picked up covid, and possibly players becoming infected in the future if they stop for people.

Going to be awkward not being able to view the game, as it's not televised for him to be able to watch. I'm assuming he's isolating in his hotel digs?

Unbelievable. Possibly be the players returning from international duty?

Newcastle United vs. Brentford: 20/11/21 @ 3pm (No UK TV)

Surprised reading the replies, a few thinking Eddie will wave a magic wand, seems a tad naive. These players are the most responsible for what happens out there, I think Eddie will have a style of play, a change in formation possibly, different approach, stadium/fans onside. The thing for me that's been the key missing ingredient, is their fitness. Years of piss poor facilities, poor training, days off, if they are fit enough and disciplined enough they can do this, but Brentford will be no push overs, they play good attacking football themselves. Eddie has a shit ton of work to do with our group, I think its going to take a while, I'm not judging him even if its a total masterclass and we thump Brentford, because I totally think these players need to really push themselves, it's the last chance for some of them, because with the funds we know we have, many of them will never get this chance again. -
I personally, dont believe we should be touching any of Man Utd's players, we've been there before, it doesn't work. Their first 11 isn't the greatest, so if these players cant get in that starting 11, it doesn't say much about them at all really. Got plenty of Utd fans at work, who are welcoming the idea, they see it as brilliant business, if they can offload dead wood, many say DVDB is really poor. They reckon Lingard had a similar spell with West Ham that Joe Willock did with us, it was just a good loan spell at the time. They rate Henderson though, and think it would be daft to lose him, but dont believe that deal is true.

Watch this, instead of forming an opinion based on a 14 minute presser.

It does matter, because you're a Mackem twat, now fuck off!

It was more in reference to the handling of Emery. If we had perhaps said 4yr deal when can you sign, things might have turned out differently. So you're saying Fonseca would sign 18 month deal with the possibility of being sacked as the club persue a long term managerial target? I think most managers are not necessarily going to be keen on a short term project, including Howe, or Martinez. I'd guess someone like Lampard might take a short term role?

For me now, we need to go all out for someone like Fonseca, stop being honest about our ambitions, just lie, get them on board, and deal with unrest later, football is brutal, being open an honest does you no favours sometimes. Promise the world, and that way if you know said person isn't your long term man, fuck him off further down the line. Play the game, these managers will, they get mental payouts for being dismissed.

Yeah forgot, he succeeded Sven with the previous owner. Similar to Allardyce with us.

I guess you have to start somewhere, City had Mark Hughes, before appointing Mancini. If it ends up being a gap filler, like Howe, we stay up, then target better managers next season. I'm starting to think they look like mugs, bringing in no footballing hierarchy immediately, but, keeping on Charnley like he's got any football know how,the guy came to us with zero football background.

Embarrassing to hear he doesn't see the vision? On day one Amanda doing interviews about challenging for trophys, champions league, and winning the PL in the next few years. Guess long term he's figured out he might not be needed after the first contract. I'd say he's a fool, because if that was the case, and I'm just guessing, then if he proved himself, he may end up being a longer term success. Who knows?
-
Is this on? Because its getting a bit cloak & dagger. I don't want to end up with Martinez in the dugout Saturday.
-
That's shit. He pushed himself on Ch4, and I thought it was his collapsed lung? But then he appeared on sky looking very ill and yellow behind the eyes, indicating jaundice, but obviously this confirms why now.

Followed by some sensible ones??

Appoint Potter with Brighton his first game.
