  1. Most clubs (mackems included) will have a clause where they can sack the manager with no compensation if they are relegated. It's complete failure of the job like, in no position anywhere would you be rewarded for failure.
  2. Would be nice if Brighton slip up here, even though Aston Villa will roll over for them on the final day (and their fans will celebrate like they've won it themselves).

  4. Can see this game being awarded to Colchester (3-0?). Orient will get a fine they cant afford to pay and push them closer to collapse.
  5. Merson thinks this squad would get promoted Such a clueless alcoholic tosser.
  6. Moysie boy very non-committal.
  7. And it's still taken them this far into the season to be relegated. More evidence that the supposed strength of the Premier League is overstated IMO. Leicester were in the relegation zone and 11/10 to be relegated as recently as 27th Feb. They're now 1 point away from 9th. But the quality in the lower two thirds of the league is class.
  8. Right, time to celebrate a Bristol City win.
  9. Some of their fans actually clapping them off
  10. Always liked him and had no idea all season how or why Gouffran started ahead of him. I'd buy him, at worst he'd be a good squad player.
  11. Not sure if I'd rather the mackems go down today or have their agony extended. Like watching a cat play with a mouse, sometimes you want it to die early on but others the sadistic side of you likes hearing it shriek.
  12. announced as 38k, radio Newcastle reckon closer to 30k To be fair, every club in the country (us included) reports the attendance based on ticket sales rather than actual bums on seats. They have to for tax purposes. Is this true, or just completely made up? Tickets are all sold at various different prices, concessions and sometimes are completely free - how (and why) would the HMRC waste their time checking attendances announced over the speakers to make sure taxes are paid? No, they have to as the club needs to declare every ticket which had paid VAT. People don't realise businesses have to record every single transaction if they are VAT enabled for their VAT bill. Aye, they need to record them etc. But it doesn't stop them announcing the actual attendance over the speakers (which is what the conversation was about). They can record the actual sales figures in their accounts but the HMRC aren't going to run around breaking doors in if we announced the "bums on seat" figure over the speakers.

  16. I quite obviously had an NUFC and Juve double last night. Juve
  17. What an awful day for BTTS and Over bets
  18. The stat's back up what I was watching, he had a good game and I didn't see anything from him that made me think playing in the championship was his level. That stats back up what I thought when I was watching the game, he was the best player on the park.
