  1. Has had good and bad games but I would say that's to be expected from a 21 year old coming into a new far superior league. Problem is he's been asked to be our main striker all season due to the club's inadequate recruitment in the summer and January. Add that to the fact that he has had no one playing anywhere near him to support him or had any decent delivery from out wide then it's hardly surprising he's struggled at times. Still think there's a decent striker in there but we need to play to his strengths and he needs a partner or at least someone to link up with. Is due a big game, hopefully it will be tomorrow!
  2. I'm all for a bit more loyalty in football but not to the point where we got to with Pardew and now Schteeve. Bit of a contradiction to what happened with Hughton who was sacked for a lot less than any of those two clowns have made us endure.
  3. It's all just insane, a man sacked by a Championship club and is hired by a premier league one who were supposedly looking for a fresh start after a horrific couple of seasons of Pardew / Carver inflicted misery. We needed someone to inspire and shake things up, not just another buffoon who would serve up more of the same. Ashley, Charnley etc only have themselves to blame for this gargantuan mess we're in. Sadly as they did with Pardew I think they'll stick by this imbecile while we sleepwalk into the Championship. The entire club feels like it's on life support with no chance of recovery.
  4. Keep hearing this perform at home bit and yet we have only won 4 out of 13 games. If people think home form is going to keep this team up I would really think again Agreed about the home results, they won't keep us up but at least we have more of a go and look like scoring at home. That's not defending him in any way. His record is abysmal and the fans patience has finally started to wear thin.
  5. We might as well just not turn up away from home and gift the points without kicking a ball. Can't have a team that can only perform at home, and that is largely down to the manager, a cowardly fraud who is staggeringly out of his depth. I would say most knew that before he took over but were willing to give him a chance, sadly he's proved everybody right and needs to be sacked if we have any chance of staying up. To go from the positivity of the West Brom performance and result to how we started the game today beggars belief.
  6. On another day he could have had two goals and an assist, think he will do well for us. Being two footed is a rarity these days and a very good attribut as a winger.
  7. He's largely been a liability when available for the last two years but we have looked a far better team when he has played this season, still offers more than Colback or Anita and we looked far more solid today with him in the team. As others have said would like to keep him until the summer.
  8. Did well today but couldn't have had an easier afternoon. Ultimately I don't think playing a few games at full back do him any harm, gives him a bit of insight into both left hand roles. Think he has huge potential but obviously needs to stay fit.
  9. Has got to play, simple as that . Not the finished article by any means but so important to the team. His hold up play is superb for such a young lad. That's an art centre forwards don't normally master until later in their careers. Took his goal really well, hopefully that will give him some much needed confidence to go on a bit of a run.
  10. We need a West Ham performance and result, that day they were well under par and we had a good day. Sadly I can't see West Brom being so accommodating, Pulis will have them set up as hard to beat and will probably score a couple from set pieces against our pathetic back line. 0 - 2 and the end of Stevie Mac!
  11. What will happen is we'll beat West Brom which will earn him a temporary reprieve then we'll lose our next 3 or 4 by which time we're practically down. Same thing happened time and time again with Pardew, saved by a couple of freak results then having to endure another horrific run of pitiful performances and unacceptable results. Two games running that we've played teams really struggling and low on confidence and have handed them victories on a plate due to this clown's inept tactics and baffling team selection.
  12. Needs to be sacked, simple as that. We're probably down anyway but with him left in charge it's a certainty.

    Loïc Remy

Spurs back in for Berahino, Remy to Leicester, Lacazette is not a realistic option.... It's becoming blatantly clear that we aren't going to sign the striker required to fire us to safety, we'll end up with Gomis or someone just as bad and continue to struggle as we have all season.
  14. Don't get the huge negativity regarding this signing, admittedly he's been hit and miss for Spurs but I think it's a huge upgrade on our current options for left wing. He has a point to prove and wants to make the England squad for the Euros. From what I've seen of him he's quick, can score, can use both feet and is very direct.... not many of current squad have those attributes. Not saying's he's going to be the next Ben Arfa or the solution to all our problems but I do think he will improve the team.
  15. Didn't realise Nice were second, would be poetic justice if he helps fire them into the Champions league and we get relegated with a whimper. The whole Benny debacle perfectly sums up what an absolute mess this club is.
  16. Got it horribly wrong yesterday as he has on many other occasions this season. Blatantly out of his depth, the squad has obvious talent but he's getting next to nothing out of them. Watford were there for the taking but woeful tactics and a hopeless formation prevented us from getting anything. Was willing to give him a chance but as others have pointed out he's slipping more into the Pardew realms of PR / nonsense in post match interviews. Fat Mike has a big choice to make, stick or twist!
  17. Need to get players supporting him, both with quality service and someone playing closer to him. A Bellamy type player (in his prime) would be ideal for him, would do the required running and stretch opposition, unfortunately don't think there are many of those types around these days. But thought he was superb tonight when we played on the front foot, think he has a bright future here.
  18. Was amazed he lasted so long tonight. Clearly has talent and ability but think he's been slightly over-hyped by some fans. Maybe a rest would do him good.
  19. The scary yet unsurprising thing is we have been awful all this season and rightly find ourselves in the bottom three, so you would have thought any club in this situation would be working on identifying targets ready to come in early this month, if we wait another 3 weeks until the window closes we will find ourselves even further adrift of safety. It's as if they think that this manager and bunch of players are capable of getting us out of it! Staggering approach when you consider how much the club will lose if they are relegated.
  20. Like others have said it shouldn't have been a choice between him and Austin in the summer, we should have got both. Would have been ideal to have Mitrovic as a young player able to adapt to a new league without huge pressure and expectations while Austin could have slotted in nicely with minimum of fuss. All we need this month is a new striker, central midfielder, centre half, winger and a left back... easy!
