I wouldn’t dare have the temerity to go against Orny.

6 year deal seems a bit of risk on our side mine given the injury record. I guess the other side of the coin is if he gets over his injuries we have tied down for a long time.

It isn't 6 though. The option is for us to extend if we want to - there's no obligation on our side.

  2. The squad announcement is huge for him. Not only has he made it in but his direct rival for the LW Grealish isn't in. It's basically him and Foden for the LW spot and if Foden is needed elsewhere or picks up a knock he's pretty much guaranteed a start as Bowen and Palmer won't play there.

3 spots have opened up on the squad list now. Does Anderson class as over 21 now so might fill one of them?

Ashby as well, although imagine he'll be straight back out on loan.

It isn't, and it isn't because of that. Plenty of noise around him going.

Please link me to said noise.

Only ever been to 1 concert there and the venue is also shite for music, nothing biased here also think St James is shit having experienced the Sam Fender gig last year.

I thought the Sam fender gig was great once you were actually in the stadium in terms of music. The concourses for food, drink, toilets etc were laughably bad though.

Where is this idea that Trippier is going coming from?

    Edit:

Emil Krafth should under no circumstances be starting PL games at right back. He can do a job, if we're super short at centre half perhaps.

It’s a load of bollocks based on the fact he looked ropey in one game coming back from a 2 month injury layoff [emoji38]

I can't tell if this is what you mean, but a reminder that our coefficient is just the country one as ours is so low. If we had to use our club coefficient we'd be right on the edge of Pot 4 / Pot 5. We still have a ton of ground to make up.

Yes that’s what I mean. The country one keeps it artificially high. So we’re still higher than most of the other big European clubs because of it.

Why is Karius not getting games? Sure his not Great but he cant be worse. Cant stand the sight of Dubravka, not the players either.

He gladly went to Man Utd the first chance and his the worst keeper I have seen at this level.

This is such a bad argument. You have no idea how good Karius is. He could quite literally be worse.

Fair enough. I understood it as not being allowed to talk until they're in the final month of their contract and assumed the standard contract went to 30th June.

That rule has been ignored for years now.

Having run through the replay of the goal a few times, given the angle, trajectory and speed of the cross it would have been a really difficult one for the keeper to come out and claim.

Exactly. It would be such a low percentage move as well and if he doesn't get there in time he'd get dogs abuse anyway for giving their attacker a free header.

The only way to achieve 60k+ is to expand the Gallogate, surely? But they've just about completed the Stack which is to remain in place for 3 years. Something doesn't tally.

The Stack is literally just shipping containers. You can pick it up and move it in a week if needed.

So around 12 million pounds not bad. He must be kicking himself mind turning us down to end up at frankfurt.

Bit of English bias going on here mind, Frankfurt are higher than us in the league [emoji38]

We should obviously avoid too much reaction to any player's mistakes, but you have to be realistic.

I think 'limited' is a bit generous a term really. I would say someone like Burn is limited... good at certain things but has weaknesses and can't do certain things well.

Longstaff is 'poor' rather than limited, he doesn't have any particular strengths and doesn't have a position that he's good at.

That said, I feel bad always posting about how shit he is so I will try to leave off  The idea was for him to be a sub when Tonali got tired, so he really shouldn't be playing.

You're also posting about an injured player. And one that was rightly described as one of the first names on the teamsheet last year. It's very odd in that context to be saying he's a poor player.

He's been absolutely fine this season when fit, saved us plenty of points as well.

If he had the full season I think he'd be posting Anthony Gordon numbers tbh (perhaps with less penalties won).

Problem is every other keeper in the league is off his line to claim that or get a fist on it. See the deficit?

Strongly disagree for the reason in my comment above. Keepers don't come for those sort of crosses for good reason.

Beaten by a header in his own six yard box - he is actually allowed to move towards the ball

Nah, there's a difference between a cross coming in from the wing and a whipped cross coming in from centrally, he would have no chance to get near that ball.

  17. Saw the stick he was getting for the first goal and thought he’d fucked up badly for it.

Just watched MOTD and Christ, it was a point blank header that went through his legs before he had a chance to move ffs.
