  1. Last time in the championship we didn't have Colback in midfield. Aye, we had Alan Smith Unfortunately for us right now, Smith back then is a hell of a lot better player than Colback now, and Smith was certainly no world beater. Smith was ten times better than Colback man. No question. Especially in this league. You think opposition mids are more worried about Colback than they were Smith?! At least Smith had the athleticism to win headers and run them down, and at least force them into errors. Colback doesn't phase them one bit. Not having that like he was about as mobile as a double decker. Bus or chocolate, just curious. Obviously. You rascal, i've got one in the fridge and now i fancy it. What type of fridge - double decker? Oh no, larder.
  2. We're so bad, we're discussing who was better or worse Smith or Colback

  5. Erm, well his past subbing history isn't exactly up and at em. That's the concern, crying out for early changes to win this game. Well you would think he might have learned from the last game and make an early one this time. Hopefully.
  6. Last time in the championship we didn't have Colback in midfield. Rafa picked him, he didn't have to.
  7. I don't understand a manager as good as Rafa looking at Colback and thinking, aye he should start.....baffled.
  8. Those three being shit doesn't stop Rafa getting criticism if he gets it wrong, he shouldn't be immune to it. There isn't one of us who'll forget how crap we were before Rafa over the last few seasons, if you think that, then that might just be the stupidity you're looking for. For some reason people seem to think the stick has been over the top following the Sheff Weds game, and other poor performances at home. When in reality it's been perfectly justified and points made very well without being mental or over the top.

  10. I rather like the idiots guide to the picture of Rafa in that story
  11. I don't think I've ever earned that in a year, absolutely agree.
  12. He's bloody better than Colback... that was my point! True, not sure I can handle watching another idiotic headless chicken giving away dumbass fouls mind.
  13. They're only doing what English clubs have been doing lately.
  14. He can give a penalty if the conact continues in the box if it's a pull of the shirt or holding of the player. This wasn't one of those, there was contact but not holding or pulling, and imo it's not a red as the contacts outside the box is completely accidental, Redman trips on the back of Ali's foot, which in turn brings down Ali. There was no intent/deliberate attempt by Redman to stop the goalscoring chance, just imo. Everyone will see it differently, such is footie. Also the refs angle as he sees it matters so much, he gets just one view and maybe help from his assistant if he's lucky. Mike Dean saw from behind the play so to him it might have looked like Redman pulled Ali down. We all have the benefit of replays from totally different angles and could see that wasn't the case (or a different opinion of it as one sees it).
  15. Free kick yes, shouldn't be a red as it wasn't a deliberate attempt to stop a goal scoring chance. Unless you think Redmond pulled him down on purpose, looks like he accidentally does. He clearly grabs his arm early on in the run to try to stop him running free on goal. That's what I would have given the free-kick for, and for me that was a deliberate attempt to prevent a goal-scoring opportunity. I'm not totally convinced the bit in the box where they both go down is even a foul tbh. Aye he does to be fair, i think that part of it was over when Redmond tripped on the back of Ali's leg to bring him down mind. It's one of those decision not many are going to agree on, football has so many.

  17. I think i've seen this now with a few clubs, seems to be the salute of choice to fans who've died at the moment.
  18. Strikers are kind of the last thing we need to worry about, ok if Gayle gets injured but i would have thought CM was the most pressing position to sort first.

"After the match last night, I looked on that forum and a poster started a thread called "Boring Rafa Benitez", it lasted about 10 minutes before the mods removed it. Nothing negative is allowed to be said about Benitez on that forum. Reminds me of the Liverpool forum RAWK where only positive posts are allowed and anything negative immediately deleted."
