Newcastle United transfer rumours in the press
Leazes_End_Mag replied to Kaizero's topic in Football
I'm not one who can predict the future but if I could, i'd go as far as to say that our attempts to sign Townsend and Delph will go no further than the enquiry stage. -
Hope to god you never have kids if you think anybody is winning in this situation.
-
No. No one but you. I'll remind you of that when HBA fires us to Premier League glory whilst Rafa struggles to get Man City out of the Championship in 2 years time.
-
Give me HBA over Rafa. Yes, I said it and you's all said it to yourselves too.
-
Anyone who'll cost less than 10m.
-
BBC all over it so I'd say it's most definitely agreed. But Chelsea will probably bid as well. Everton have said there's no fee agreed. I'd expect them to know more than the BBC.
-
You'd of said the same about Bale. Money talks when it comes to Levy but I admit that I don't think 75m would force their hand.
-
Controversial but i'm yet to see Lukaku do anything in the big and meaningful games. For 75m, i'd rather test the water at Spurs and place the same bid for Kane to see what response it got.

Can see this Ojo story being dragged on for weeks like the Abraham one and we'll no doubt lose out on other potential targets because of it. -

To settle nerves, it's The S*n reporting the Gayle link and was a local Derby based paper linking them with Ritchie. Both full of hot air. -

Boro being linked with a bid for Gayle, same as Derby are for Ritchie. -

Clucas for 8-10m is more appealing than the Huddlestone links. -

Would pick Reina over Hart any day of the week tbh !!! Didn't watch any seria a last season but every time i watched Hart for England duty he's been poor Not sure you can really make a judgement then if you haven't seen Reina at all last season. -

I've missed this feeling of enjoying a new signing being announced. -

The most concerning thing about that article is that it states Rafa is relying on Diame to control the tempo of games. Personally don't have a problem on us spending 2m on Huddlestone if it forces Colback to move on. -
I'm not coming here to try and scare people and it may be proven to be untrue BUT I went to school with Paul Dummett (couple of years above him) so I know him and his group of mates and vice versa. One of my best mates mam's works at Nestle with one of Dummett's best mates and she claims that Dummett's mate has told her that Dummett has rung him up today and said that Rafa has rang and apologised to all the players and that he's walked. As I say, it could quite easily be untrue as this kid has said Dummett has claimed things in the past, some have been right, some have been wrong but just thought i'd pass the message on.

Agree with this. Offered very little after he returned from his ban but got away with it because he's popular with fans. He was still miles better than any other alternative we could have played instead of him I do agree with that, purely based on the fact we had and have absolutely nobody to challenge him and it remains part of the problem that I think we have now.

Monaco & City agreed a fee for Mendy. Chelsea agreed a fee for Rudiger.
