  1. Any reason why people keep posting this guy’s tweets? He was making out he knew loads about the Staveley takeover aswell, proper lapping the attention up. Something like, “WOW i’m blown away by what i’ve just heard!” or some s**** like that. He’s legit. Based in Dubai and has solid contacts. I wouldn’t call him an attention seeker at all. Agree. Trust him as much as I would trust anybody. Don’t think he’s in it for the attention. Can just imagine the Sheikh coming in for a cleaning. Mitch - “Is it safe?”
  2. I’m nervous about losing Rafa. I’m still confident the takeover will happen but I’m not confident at all on the timescale. Just because Rafas contract runs out doesn’t mean he can’t sign a new one week later. It’s the whole silence everywhere thing that gives me optimism. Rafa knows how to play the media. If the club were intentionally letting his contract run out he’d have let that be known. He’s waiting because he knows more than we do. That's the thing, I also believe Rafa is optimistic about the takeover and is waiting for it to complete. That makes sense. But the likes of Caulkin keep mentioning other bidders and that gets me worried about this being anywhere near completion. So much stuff is out there at the moment - opinions, supposed ITKs, statements, conspiracy theories, body language analysis, WhatsApp chats with BZG lawyers - that each of us can choose to focus on 2/3 good points and be optimistic, or a different 2/3 bad points and be pessimistic. I've no idea which side to give credibility to. It's driving me crazy. I’ve heard from enough people connected with the deal who have no connection with nufc otherwise to know it’s definitely in the works. I’m not privy to any other info though. I don’t know if Mike has moved the goalposts at the last minute. I suspect not though. I think he met with Rafa to tell him what was happening and to assure him that if doesn’t happen in time (i.e 30th June) that the club could offer a contract that gives him xyz. If the takeover happens, Rafa is dealing with totally different people, different lawyers etc so it wouldn’t really be in his interest to sign the one from Ashley if he doesn’t have to. If the 30th passes and there is no comment from anyone (especially Benítez) I see that as a sign of something imminent happening.

  4. Never sure if post like this is some sort of a humor or people are actually watching planes and helicopter traffic.. Never underestimate people’s madness.
  5. A man of the people. I would like to think so. He’s essentially going to be a more senior version of Lee Charnley who knows the value of good PR. He’s hardly going to tell someone contacting him to go die in a house fire. Wouldn’t be the best start to things.. But as a caution, I think back to the start of Ashley and the very nice Chris Mort who came in. They were having a ball drinking with supporters that first season. If Mort has stayed on I think things would have been different but he only had a 1 year leave from his role to do this.
  6. Aye that’s pretty much what he told me as well, in emojis ?? Madness how he hasn’t changed his number yet!
  7. “They” are clinging on to an identity that doesn’t exist any more. The problem is that no manager is going to get 10 years to get a system going that brings the academy right up to the first team together. Ferguson did fuck all day to day work with them, but he knew everything coming down the pipeline in terms of youth talent and trusted people to do their jobs with the first team. The whole thing is in such a mess now that they need someone to do all of what Ferguson was doing and somehow coach that squad to contend with Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea, City etc. It’s an almost impossible job because Man Utd are still easily the biggest club in England by some way. The pressure on Solskjaer will be massive this year. It won’t end well for him, he’s too “nice” if that makes sense.
  8. imagine the feeling is mutual Right place, wrong time. He’ll do well wherever he plays next.
  9. Hence the bit at the start that says “my take on it”
  10. My take on it so far. Midhat crossed Ashley or one of his people at some point in the last few months in London. Selling the club came up in conversation and they were asked how much to sell. Something like leave it with me while I talk with the boss happened and then they did indeed come back asking to start the process. BZG is a conglomerate meaning it’s made up of lots of diverse businesses and partnerships. It takes a while to get all the pieces on the chess board in terms of finance or members. Ashley not wanting to bow down to Rafas requests and just in case BZG got cold feet, takes a gamble and leaks the story to the sun. Putting BZG in a position where they have to admit the agreement but perhaps were still some way off getting their lot together to complete the purchase. So now we’re stuck in limbo, Ashley has his ready made excuse for why he couldn’t get a deal with Rafa and he’s also in a perfect scenario because he’s selling the club for what he wants for it. The timeline of this doesn’t matter to him. It could drag on for weeks or months. He doesn’t see the club as his problem any more. It matters to us because it’s going to fuck another season before it’s even started. The Sheikh most likely only putting in somewhere between 82 and 175 million to buy. That’s what it says on Monochrome.. he owns minimum 25% but not more than 50% The rest is made up of faceless business owners that make up the rest of the group. What they can actually pool together if really required is anyone’s guess. After the Liverpool bid failed, this not happening would do damage to them over there. It’s a story that’s been in the news constantly. They won’t be backing out.
  11. Charnley is incompetent, but its bizarre you have so much hatred for him compared to Ashley. You surely realise he can't lift a finger without consulting Ashley, the same probably goes for everyone else working at the club. Charnley is from the area. He shits on his own doorstep and doesn’t give a fuck.
  12. It’s a smart move by Chelsea. Lampard doesn’t have the experience and Rafa could easily keep them in the top 4 with the existing squad they have. They have some serious talent out on loan. Or, this is Rafa playing politics to put pressure on the nufc board who once again have their heads in the sand. Either way none of this reflects well on the club.
  13. Imagine some random getting more info out of the potential new MD than all of these in the know journos..
  14. The number is there for anyone to see. If you doubt it, text the man yourself tomorrow and see what happens.
  15. John Atkinson - looking into a corporate box for next season?! ? At least I didn’t bullshit the man. Just said my piece and asked was he still confident would it go through.
  16. All you have to do it google Bin Zayed Group and that article is on the 1st or 2nd page so it’s hardly a security breach ?
  17. In fairness I did warn him. You don’t have to look too hard on google to find that article.
  18. I imagine Odin may have some credibility in the work he does so might not think of him as your typical johhny public. I'm just assuming this mind as no sure what Odin really does. I’m a project manager for an international advertising agency. But I also recruit when I’m contacted by any of the clients I’ve kept on over the years. Does Midhat know you though? He does now ? But no, I could have been anyone texting him. I just sent him a long message and got it across to him that we know MA can be difficult to deal with and that we would very much prefer Rafa to stay over any other potential managers coming in. And basically wishing him the best of luck if the deal happens. I was fairly courteous.

  20. It’s 100% him. Same as his Facebook page that got posted on here earlier in this threads life. He seems a nice guy in fairness, sent me a couple of replies when he didn’t have to at all.
  21. Sounds more like a threat you stalky b****** ya. Either that or he wants to bum you. While the Sheikh watches on.. ?‍♀️
  22. Well the last thing he said to me was “maybe we meet very soon ?” Is that an implication?
  23. And yeah, anyone quoting the link, modify it before it does make it to the loons.
