Tony Pulis (who is a more than decent manager) isn't playing Berahino because he's a disruptive git with a terrible attitude. The kid can be as talented as anyone, it doesn't matter though, it'll be the same as Ben Arfa. The first sign of it not going well, he'll be sulking and going on strike. No thanks. For that sort of money the club should stick a cheeky bid in for Vardy (am not assuming he'd want to come here, just that Leicester might listen to an offer of that size), quickest player in the league. Would be a perfect partner for Mitrovic.

Depends on the forward. Ok well base your answer on the types of forwards that we've been linked with. The lad at Marseille, Lacazette, Remy etc..

Rubbish bait Mr Troll. Question to all of you. If a new forward was to come in, who in the team would you drop to make room?
-
Lacazette or players in or around that mold could potentially cost a lot more though, especially next summer. We all know Mike Ashley is capable of spending any amount of money if the mood takes him. The tv revenue next summer is too big to miss out on, so spending such an amount before other PL teams have a chance to actually makes sense. I think it's just a rehash of last weeks story though, Lyon accepted our proposed offer of 18 million apparently so I have no idea why the club would come back in with a higher offer. The player instructed his agent that he wanted to go nowhere so it never got off the ground. Unless something dramatic has changed in Lyon's situation and the player has been told to leave? See no difference between him and what Remy was a few years ago though, if that's what 25m buys you these days?

What's embarrassing? People are saying he keeps missing sitters and he does. People go overboard with the criticism and the praise. If he was converting his easier chances I'd say he'd been brilliant. If Riviere was missing the chances Mitro is he'd be shot with s***. You can't compare Mitrovic and Riviere. One works his tail off for the team, the other isn't good enough to be in the same squad. How many goals has Wijnaldum scored because of him? He makes space or gets accurate knock downs. Anyone wanting to drop a player who's doing this knows nout about football. The goals will come. Especially with Shelvey in the side now.

He's everything our recent ball bag forwards haven't been in recent years. Good attitude, works his arse off for the team and is prepared to go toe to toe with any fu**er in the league. Defenders are scared of him. Once he bags a few from open play he won't look back. Hope he's the next to wear the no.9 shirt, he's certainly worthy of it. Really like the lad. His confidence took a bump but he's overcoming it. Just remember his age...

Hopefully Leicester can get a very very late heartbreaking winner. Villa have had it coming to them for many years.

Just think back to this time last year.... remember it... we were a team which could barely string a couple of passes together and if we'd had to have played more games during that period, we would have been relegated. It's not even up for debate, we were that bad. In the space of 6 months, to turn THAT team into the one we've been watching recently, is nothing short of exceptional. I don't particularly like or dislike the man but he's done ok and I respect him as a coach. We haven't had any luck this year, our performances deserved more and hopefully now we won't have to rely on luck and keep getting points.

Cross that bridge when it happens, he's our player for now and looks to be enjoying his football here. If he believes in the project like he said from the start, he'll have bought into whatever it is they're trying to do. We're only a couple of players off being a very good side. If he walks for a similar size club it will be for wages, let's hope the board have enough sense to offer him an improved contract in the summer.
-
Did alright, West Ham had us on the backfoot by time he came on. Made a couple of poor choices, in when to carry the ball etc, but he'll learn from that.
-
If he keeps playing like that he'll have won every doubter over. Fantastic debut, can only think of one pass that wasn't completed from him. It's transformed the team and the space Wijnaldum and Perez have got is causing them constant problems. If we were trying to find an easy game for Saivet to cut his teeth it would be today, need to get the lad on. Enjoyed that.

The life of a Premier League deep-lying midfielder then. People will soon find out he's s*** that haven't already cottoned on, because there's fook all wrong with that front five. In fact it's very strong imo. I think there's definitely goals in that front 5, it's just if we're under the kosh, which we probably will be, poor ginger is going to wish he was on that flight to China.

I think Colback is going to be terribly exposed today, none of the others in midfield are in any way defence minded.
-
Shelvey has PL experience, as does Colback, the latter may not be any good but it makes sense when playing West Ham. Saivet should be used as a sub though when the game opens up later. I have no idea how the result will go, my hope is that through Shelvey, it will open up totally different kinds of chances for Mitrovic to start scoring.
-
I think to suggest that there's any sort of policy in place would be to suggest that anyone at board level had any idea what they were doing in previous seasons. We may not have the points but the team is light years from the turgid mess that Pardew left us with. McClaren should be at least given some credit for that. Making wholesale changes to a team has never had any instant success, but it's plain to see where the main problems have been.

The signings will change the dynamic of the team completely. Shelvey in particular, he can play accurate balls over the top to send Mitrovic clear, giving him scoring opportunities that he hasn't been afforded so far. Also because of his ability to shoot from distance, teams will have to mark Shelvey more closely, giving Sissoko or Wijnaldum more space. That can only be a good thing. Tiote, Colback and Anita have been dead weight in the team for too long. The jury is out on whether Saivet is the answer, at least they are asking the right questions now.
