A few of our STH holders are like that. Think they almost own their seat, and think they’re mint fans because they’ve had that seat for 600 millennia and always turn up regardless of how negative they are at the games. Be the same lot who didn’t make a peep at Wembley. That bloke behind me actually stayed to the end Personally I wouldn’t ever leave a match early if I could especially when a match is in the balance but there’s almost an unwritten rule in English football where if a team goes 2 goals down after 80 minutes or so there’s a mass exodus. I don’t think staying to the end is worthy of some kind of soopafan badge. I’ve left a couple games early in my short time but mainly due to how grim it’s been; I left when the 4th hit the net yesterday, first time since the takeover. Last times I remember leaving were going 3 down to West Ham in stoppage time under Benitez (late walk in game, left as soon as the 3rd hit the net) and the 0-3 home defeat to Leicester under McClaren. Only time I’ve ever left before stoppage time from the top of my head.

My old ST seat was 2 rows in front and like 4 seats along. Night and day experience. Never heard that git before. Absolutely mind numbing.

Most miserable fucking cunt I’ve ever had to sit near today. Back row of the East Stand block L. Seat 15-something. Late 60s or so. Constantly moaning to what I’m assuming is his wife. Doesn’t sing. My brother had the exact same seat as me today on Wednesday. I’ll share some snippets he came out with midweek and today; Wednesday “I’ve been here 25 years and we never take short corners” ”First short corner of the season there” ”Ah great Isak scored, doesn’t matter he’s off in the summer” Today ”Why’s he (Newcastle player) moaning to the ref man, just wasting our own time” As well as others. Shan’t ever be buying that seat again.

Bournemouth have 11 senior players fit and played the same number of games this week as us. Think we were just totally fucking awful.
-
In seriousness, that was a totally and utterly lifting 98 minutes from everyone in black and white. Outplayed across the park. Bournemouth looked sharper, quicker, more incisive. We looked like 11 blokes who’d never played football together before. The run was always going to come to an end but to come such a pitiful end like that is shocking. They had 11 fit senior players. Appalling stuff.

Enjoyed that.

They’ll turn it around and win it now. The narrative will be Man Utd are BACK.

Brentford 2-2

Loved that he got a chance. Looked lightweight and thought he was trying a bit too hard but appears to have a low centre of gravity. Would like to see him more.
-
He’s not good enough. Simply put.
-
He’s got really good physical attributes but he doesn’t get enough minutes to show what he can do technically. Some hit, his goal.
-
Like Almiron, utterly pointless against sides that sit deep.
-
Absolutely pointless footballer in games against sides that sit deep.
-
Hope not. My net worth shrinks by 75% if they do them.

Fully agree. As is £30 for Bromley on Sunday imo. I know they’re set prices for the competition but howay, man.

Football should be made as affordable and accessible as possible, yeah. Especially in one of the least affluent parts of the country. Obviously it’s not going to be free but the rises across the league are getting out of control when there is not one genuine reason for them to be outside of greed. https://thefsa.org.uk/news/ticket-price-pain-rising-costs-measured-in-the-football-price-index/ https://thefsa.org.uk/news/high-ticket-prices-are-not-the-answer-to-psr/ The FSA are doing their best to try and nip it but takes like this and from many of our lot regarding the CL scheme last season and this topic in general are disheartening as fuck.

Ticket pricing has very little to zero bearing on PSR or how much we spend in the transfer market and it should never, ever be an excuse for fleecing fans. Our prices have gone up for consecutive seasons now and they’re almost a disgrace as is; it’s at least 50 quid for a ticket to a PL match against the likes of Bournemouth, Leicester, Ipswich and even more for better sides. Not even including the fee for a membership. For a parent to take 1 bairn it’s over 100 quid to watch 1 Newcastle match in the PL, and that’s not even counting money for food, travel etc. Even more if the parent wanted to take 2 bairns. They don’t need to do it. It’s pure greed and needs calling out before it goes too far, if it hasn’t already. Thankfully the FSA are doing their utmost to do so.
