We did, but the terrorism that is VAR had other ideas.

Also beat Leeds, us and Leicester 7-0, 4-0 and 6-3 respectively in consecutive games last season.
-
I don't know, but Man City beat Liverpool, Watford and Palace 5-0, 6-0 and 5-0 respectively in consecutive league games in 2017-18.

I walked past him and chatted for little bit on the concourse, no piccy this time though. Was 8 pints deep tbf.

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
HaydnNUFC replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
If we're in the CL and we still want him he'll be playing for us next season. Happy about that tbph, he's an utterly quality player. -
Gutted I missed out on some top quality Everton Spaces, mind.

I really like the guy who did a lot of our Championship games under Benitez and still only seems to get Championship games, Daniel Mann I think he's called. Him with McCoist on co comms would be class. Tyler is past it, used to be class but not now. Hate almost all of the commentators on BT. Don't like Drury either, gets a lot of rapport on social media but he tries far too hard to sound like an over the top Shakespearean sonnet, like get a grip.

Away end was belter last night as well.

Villa (H), Chelsea (H), Leicester (A), Forest (A), Man Utd (H), Spurs (H) and Everton (A) for me in terms of games I've enjoyed the most. The Man City home game I was out of breath after and we should've won the game really. None of the LC games have really stuck/resonted with me either tbh.

They're 9/1. Don't think I've ever seen longer odds for a side to beat us in a PL match before.

Post match hearing him go on about the same things we were saying 2-3 years ago was stark, like. Messaged me after "Chucking the ST next season. I've had it since I was 6 but what's the point? A board who doesn't care and clearly resents the fans with a shit team on the pitch scrapping to stay up, only to do the exact same thing next season if they manage it. Only thing is we won't stay up this time and I can't be arsed with forking out the same amount of money to watch us struggle against Plymouth on a Tuesday night." Stuck with me, like.

On train hyem now, what a night. Iffy first half but quality showed, we were never not getting something from the game after going 0-1 up and we were never not winning it after going 0-2 up. Gave massive commiserations to my Everton mate who I was out for the whole day with, his current mood about Everton reminded me of myself when Ashley and Bruce were here. But can't lie, it was canny fucking funny after all the build up and bus welcomes their lot gave for this game only to be twatted 1-4 in their own backyard. Eddie's mags.

Worried about Liverpool, me. I'd have also sacked Howe in January last season and replaced him with Benitez. Real talk.

Was an absolute privilege seeing that assist live.

What a fucking night. Thank you so much @LFEE for the ticket.

On top of that, we'd only need 2 more wins from 5 with 2 home games and Leeds away to come. Even a point tomorrow isn't a disaster imo, think we'll win at least 3 home games and beat Leeds away.
-
When teams were doing that we were without ASM and Isak for the most part. The former should be back for Sunday, I believe.
-
And we should be winning 4 of our last 7 fixtures at least. We do that and it doesn't matter what they do.
-
Don't massively need to imo, though probably need to to stop this place flapping al owa the shop again. Confident we'll win our home games and beat Leeds.
-
In an unprecedented behind closed doors season in which they lost 6 consecutive home matches.
-
If we can't manage 4 wins from our remaining 7 fixtures then I won't know what to say.
-
4 wins for us and what Liverpool do doesn't matter. Its like #worrying about Reading in the Benitez Championship season all over again.
