  1. The football will get better as we get better quality players. We've already seen glimpses of how good our football can be from games last season; Preston at home in the cup, QPR away, Birmingham at home. Even this season, I thought the West Ham and Stoke home games were excellent. And after seeing his Liverpool sides from 2007-2009 dick us at SJP and at Anfield, I think it's a bit rich for anyone to suggest he doesn't play good football.
  2. He didn't need to come here in 2016. If he didn't, we'd be lumbered in the Championship with either Steve McClaren still as manager or someone of that ilk. Someone utter shite. But he came and almost kept us up. He stayed when we went down. Again, he didn't have to. We would've imploded, stuck in the Football League, with Ashley and no future. But he stayed, got rid of the saleable assets and overall cunts in the squad, made a profit and built a team for promotion which achieved promotion. He didn't have to stay after our joke of a January window and a summer. But he did. Where would this squad be without him as it's manager? Probably bottom, because it is the worst squad in the league. But he's got us, as it stands, with our head above the waterline. What many predicted after the summer window closed. He's the centrepiece of the potential takeover. It wouldn't be happening if he wasn't here. He's managed to bring fans who were disillusioned, apathetic, back into caring about a club which resembles a football club. Not every single one, but him being pivotal to a takeover and ridding us of the cancer on this football club that is Mike Ashley will get all of them back. I'm sure of that. He is the best manager we've ever had in terms of his CV. For some he's already on par with SBR and KK. He still is for me. A poor run of results doesn't change that. Us struggling against relegation for most of the season, which we expected, doesn't change that. He's reignited a passion for NUFC for many. Including many posters on here. Just like KK did in 1992. He's stayed because he believes in this club, it's fans. He knows what it's capable of and what it can do with everything in place. He's trying to put everything in place. So let him get on with the job. He has his flaws, as do all managers, but he is the best we can possibly hope for. He "gets it" regarding the football club, the city, the fans. So get behind him, do our utmost to help this club stay in the Premier League this season. Fuck what the media say about him, us, our club, fuck what fans of other clubs who are clueless about NUFC say about him, the fans or the club. Everyone knew it'd be a slog post August and here we are. So again, get behind him.
  3. Townsend and? Genuinely can't remember Loftus-Cheek.
  4. Nah, if it's the same person asking the same question and getting the same answer time and time again from different people, it's not everyone else's fault that the lad's a complete dunce. Your love for Rafa is clouding your judgement lad, many many people on here are so reluctant to even question his failings and inadequacies this season. Lots of things that he has done or implemented this season is open for question Mike Ashley is solely at fault for false promises or providing an adequate budget to obtain quality within the team that's true. What he is not at fault for is team selection; tactics; squad rotation and motivation. So my question to you again is whos fault is this? take the black and white glasses off before you answer it You either ignored or didn't see my question to you yesterday so I'll ask again. You lambast Rafa at every opportunity. I assume you want him gone. Who would you like to replace him then?
  5. Fair enough, so who is your man to replace him? None of the anti Rafa lot ever answer that question. Odd.
  6. If we had won today we would both be on 21 points though.... I hadn’t realised that, bloody hell. They just seem more together than us, more composed, assured and comfortable at this level. This p*ss poor run of form has really f***ed us over, even a win and a draw in amongst those run of defeats would see us good at this stage. A win today would have been massive and a missed opportunity I feel. 100% Whats frightening is Swanswa won today for the first time since August and are only 3 points behind us. Palace’s form is even more frightening. In a good way it shows that a win or two can get you back up the table, but it will be close down there to the very wire. January really could make or break us. I expect Swansea to go down and then it’s between us, WBA and West Ham. Palace have too much and Hodgson is a decent coach, the best of the Brit pack if you like. However, I do expect those clubs to splash some cash in January, will we? We have to, HTT. You're quite confident of the takeover happening, if so, cash surely has to be in place to be reimbursed once it's finalised? I don’t think we will be splashing out, takeover or not. I hope I’m wrong, but I cannot see us making major signings at all. A few loans, maybe 10-15m max to spend. Sale of Mitrovic should double that budget. I don't think it's enough, like.

  8. It's the only win we've had there in the PL. Seem to recall we won there in the Coca Cola Cup(?) under Keegan in the mid-90s. Won 0-4. Was serious trouble before and after the game apparently.
  9. That is the last win. L 1-0 L 1-0 L 1-0 L 2-1 W 1-3 L 4-0 () D 1-1
  10. there’s gonna be a forum murder if not Plenty of people on here will be happy enough to say ‘I told you so’ though, that’s the main thing. About what? That the takeover wasn't happening, if it ends up collapsing.
  11. 1-2. Say that out of hope. We really needed 7 points from today, Monday and Swansea. 2 wins out of 2 required then. If we win against these, then we beat Luton (for confidence) and beat Swansea, I think we'll end up ok. Need some signings as well though.
  12. Very clickbaity first sentence. Already watched his interview, just says that we're looking to bring in players in January that can help this group, that's it really.
  13. Really? I thought it was canny. The crowd realised what we are and what we had to do as a result that night, I thought. The booing like from today isn't on though. I can understand boos if players are blatantly not trying, but this bunch of players are. They're just not good enough, that's not their fault. Where do you’s sit? It’s a million times better in the Gallowgate end upper and we need all the help we can get. I'm in block L of the East Stand. Atmosphere gets around to my bit though it's mostly from the lads in the Gallowgate I can hear. For a big game and/or big pre match piss up the atmosphere in my bit can be alreet. Most of the time though, it's dead.

  15. How much time?? If we only have 25 points going into april is that fine? Seeing as you've been lambasting him for a while now I assume you want him out. Who'd you bring in if he left/got sacked then?
  16. We didn't but our defence nullified their attack and we actually forced their keeper inot making a couple of good saves. Clean Sheet, and clean sheets will keep us up if Fat Sham is to be believed. True, but walking out of the ground today I couldn't find anything positive about that other than the fact we didn't get beat. Onto Stoke and all the rest of it, but we desperately need additions to the front 6.
  17. I almost always agree with you Figures, but we didn't look good going forward today like.
  18. Southampton away and Lascelles probably.
  19. He's scored 1 league goal in 8 games.
  20. Basically, in broken English, "Rafa's staff have been told to gone home, Rafa's in office in meeting with Charnley".
