Can someone explain how I keep hearing Wilshere is nowhere near fit enough to be at the tournament? He's had ages to get fit. Even in the time from when the tournament started to last night I could get fit to play an hour of football.

Thinking about it last 16 is about right for this team. A keeper made of smoke. Dodgy defence. Zero creativity in midfield. Poor manager. It's not even that much of a new team like people are making out! Loads of arm chair fans massively underestimating Iceland! Good side. Already saying blame the manager and not the players. The players are overrated and last 16 is about our level. Poor keeper average at best defence, no creativity in midfield. It's no surprise.

Doesn't work like that anymore. Stature of club is way down the list, behind money and trophies and how close to London your training ground is. Thankfully we have a manager who, I'd imagine, is quite persuasive. Well we haven't won trophies in a while and we're not very close to London, yet we got an elite manager to join us and then stay with us in Championship. I don't think stature of the club (and ours is huge) is down on the list at all as long as it's pitched right. I'm not pointing the finger here but to many of our fans think far to small since Ashley got here. Despite being a largely comical club we have impressive pulling power, and I wouldn't expect that to end trying to tempt a player to join us from the smallest club in the Premier League. Well said! How many other clubs do people genuinely think could get and then keep a manager like Benitez in the championship?

Imagine having as much talent as hazard and been anonymous for most of last season! If I had that talent I would make sure I was tearing it up every game
