I genuinely fail to see how it’s preferential when they are paying exactly the same fee as members? If you want to stop it, stop charging the fee and stop them being members. Or at least make it an optional extra at the point of renewing a ST

Why bother with anything then, ST’s, Memberships, whatever? Just distribute all the tickets throughout the city and the surrounding area, but you’re only allowed to attend three times a season so everybody gets a go. Obviously I’m being facetious, but my point is that you need some kind of structure in place to create a ‘fan base’. Everybody knows what the atmosphere is like at early round cup games and friendlies. And whilst you want kids and ‘once a season’ fans to have a game or two to be able to go to, it can’t be like that on a regular basis. The fact is people want to go now because we’re good. This is probably the wrong place to make this point, because the majority of people on here who didn’t attend (much) pre-takeover and now do, or want to, care as passionately about the club as those that did and do go, hence being on here. But out in the world it’s different. Most people didn’t go before because we got beat and it was shit. So you can understand why there’s a reluctance for people to think they should all get an equal crack at tickets now.

Not really sure what ‘benefits’ they get tbh? Obviously, being first in line for cup final tickets is the main one, but what’s the alternative? Away tickets as well, clearly. But whilst some tweaks could be made to our system, there absolutely isn’t a clear alternative that obviously far fairer. They could look at the being allowed to buy an additional home ticket thing, but if they do, they need to stop making it compulsory for them to pay the members fee.

I agree to an extent, but what chance is there of it going to pot 7 without holding any back? Absolutely none whatsoever. Not even close. They would know that. But they’ve still created the pot…

It just seems to me that we all know if they don’t hold any back, they sell out before pot 6. So what was the point of having that pot? PR to make it seem like they were including everyone? I don’t know, I just feel like they might hold a small number back to go each of the ballots.

I think (in reality) this is just designed to try and limit outright touting rather than people passing on tickets to a mate/family member. It doesn’t say anything about ID being required so I reckon if you were randomly checked, as long as you knew the details (probably just name and address) of the person buying the ticket, you will be fine.

Given I was so tardy in sorting anything out, and trains are either sold out or stupid prices, I’ve ended up booking a flight to Belfast at 8am on the Saturday, then Belfast to Luton at 2pm. £86 all in (plus about another tenner to get from Luton to St Pancreas). Probably end spending the same again in Belfast airport bar like, but never mind. How to get home on the Monday will have to wait until tomorrow cos my heads battered after hours of looking at possible options.

It will do in future if everything goes OK and they decide to increase the fan to seat ratio. Here it’s 1:1 but I believe in Germany it’s currently 1:1.7

Should be able to get a ticket no bother. Anticipating being down there Saturday - Monday. Have booked fuck all though so got some fun/expensive/frustrating hours coming up over the next days trying to work out what to do.
