Appear to have recruited the Wealdstone Raider, sporting the finest flat cap and football top combo…

Think Keegans bang on the money meeself like… I struggle to get away with that ‘try hard’ who shrieks her way through every match… and yes, I know, there are poor male pundits too… I just used to like a bit of comedy, interaction, light hearted banter that you’d get from a few male ex pros… a bit of entertainment if you like… now it’s all about analysing with the same old cliches ‘well they lacked a bit of quality in the final third’ or ‘they failed to cope with the high press’… hear the same shite every week…

“Everyone gets what nobody wants” ”That’s democracy Dennis”

It’s been a brilliant window… and the way we’ve gone about it, largely off the radar buying young players with bags of ability who can slot straight in when needed/required is class… we could have gone gangbusters on high profile mercenaries but chose not too… We’ve strength in depth all over now, just need to look at the subs bench…Eddie obviously trusts lascelles to cover and why not… he doesn’t let us down and is obviously a brilliant leader.. something worth it’s weight in gold… he also has bags of trust in burn too… again, he’s done little wrong at left back so far and is another who can cover centre half… All coming together quite nicely … 10 out of 10 for me…
-
Can’t be… they only wear them for the match or 5 a side…. well so says everyone on RTG anyway… Are you telling me these lads make things up?
-
So they do an attendance thread for every home match with some knacker working the numbers out… surprisingly not tonight for the Marrabewwww cup though…
-
I don’t think any of them know the actual story behind it but just like to randomly quote it…
-
Might not be a bad shout… if only to stop people using the word ‘entitled’ at any given opportunity…
-
I was under the impression that forums were created to encourage discussion and debate and allow people to voice opinion… whether you agree is neither here nor there…. Not sure what the definition of ‘Uber fan’ is or the reason behind the ‘oooh look at me I’m just an ordinary joe’ comment…
-
Nope… any reason?
-
yeah feel free to call me whatever you want mate, no problem… But I’ll rephrase it as I fully understand why folk stopped going under Ashley… Age, circumstance, boycotting due to Ashley or simply couldn’t be arsed because we were shit (and just for reference I know loads who did)
-
Not really the point but whatever makes you happy eh…. mate…
-
Far from ignoring your point, I made reference to the fact in an earlier post that the club needs to review the system… this new one continues to reward those who have the maximum points and who have ‘potentially’ bought and passed tickets on previously.. whilst it also provides some reward for folk who previously didn’t go for various reasons ie age, circumstance or simply couldn’t be arsed cos we were shit etc. but it does need thought and could get buy in from key stakeholders like NUST and NUSC… unfortunately they’ve just implemented another system in a similar way to the membership scheme without much thought, meaning 2-300 tickets are no longer available for regular attendees.. and just to clarify my son started to accumulate points 7 years ago by going to friendlies, cup games, night games etc… he learned from an early age that if he wanted to attend when things got better he’d need to put the hard work in first… after all we all knew the ‘loyalty’ rules which were never an issue until people started pissing their pants recently…
-
No one is criticising fans… those who stopped going made a choice… a bit like those who stopped going during the McKeag years and those who choose not to go now…
-
if you’ve had a season ticket for a few years there were numerous opportunities to get on the ladder…
-
Is that a serious comment?? Between the age of 7 and 15 he’s been to almost 60 games…forged new friendships, met great new mates, things I experienced and remember well from back in the day.. loads of matches sell out on 100 points so unless he uses someone else’s ticket he’s missed out… he went to those he was able to.
-
But what about all the ones who haven’t taken advantage.. My 15 year old lad has built up approx 60 points over 7 years going to away games when the points drop.. there’s a big possibility he’ll miss out if the points threshold increases to accommodate a few hundred who have now decided they fancy an away trip… and when they had every opportunity to build points over the last few seasons… Maybe they should spend a season cracking down on this before implementing a ballot… after all, they are ‘loyalty’ points…
-
Away ticket situation needs to be addressed too…. Setting aside a number of tickets for ballot will no doubt see the “loyalty” cut off point increasing from 60 points to 80 for most matches before they sell out…. Doesn’t sit right with me….

Where’s Excile when you need a balanced opinion on the matter….

There’s one idiot on there called Vauxie, rambling on about slapping folk in Newcastle tops…. Now I reckon he must be taking his name from those 1970s hooligans which would put him in his mid to late 60’s…. at least.. Id actually pay to watch that daft old spunker attempting to slap anyone over the age of 14 without either getting laughed at or humiliated…

Thing with Boro is dead simple… They’re desperate to be hated by someone but the truth is, nobody really does.. Up north, we’re too busy with Sunderland and vice versa so they have to turn their attentions down south… Unfortunately Leeds are too focussed on Man U to even consider Boro…. and I suppose even Darlington and Hartlepool were too pre occupied with each other to worry about them.. So unfortunately for our friends from North Yorkshire, they are stuck in no man’s land without a true rival… and are seen as no more than an irritant albeit on different scales to different folk..

Wor Kev by Don Juans…. Loved that…. Loved him …

Sitting 3rd in the Premier and a kick in the arse off a cup final, my cup tends to be half full at the minute… Is Gordon better than Fraser, Ritchie and Murphy, in my opinion yes… Is he better than Almiron under Bruce, yes… Does he have the potential to be as good as or better than Almiron now, again yes… potentially…. The club does need to play by FFP rules and will mention it, I’ve no problem with that… but if they decided the figures work and Eddie wants the player and believes he’ll improve the squad then that’ll do for me… some transfers work, others don’t… I’m just going to enjoy the ride…
-
Maybe, just maybe we’ve bought a player that Eddie really wants…. whether it was £20m, £40m or £60m, if the club can afford it and can make the deal happen that’s fine with me.. I’m more concerned with improving the squad over the long term which is what he’s doing, than worrying about bank balances. Im pretty sure the club have a team of experts who are highly paid and more than qualified to do that job…
