Wraith and Martin know just about as much as us. Wraith managed to ride the waive of the fact he was sat next to Staveley for a while and act as if he new something without actually giving any info and his recent tweets are all based on Luke Edwards article. Michael Martin also knows fuck all. He was originally saying that he heard the buyer was from Egypt. He also seems to be some sort of political mad man.

Steve Wraith is basing all this on a article from Luke Edwards, who by the way was banned from St James and is generally a very negative writer about Newcastle. I do believe though that this second group was probably released by Ashley to push Staveley. But to go on like that this morning on his twitter is a joke.

If that happens Rafa will walk and the price of the club will plummet. To be honest it already has with the recent results. He surely must see that now is the only time he is ever likely to even get his money back. If we go down again he will have to pump more money in and he would never be able to make that back from a sale. I just really hope this happens or we are fucked.

That from the guardian is a load of rubbish, £30 million I don't think so. It's over 3 years FFP and don't think we have been anywhere near getting close to it. You can spend loads as long as it equals out over the 3 years so as long as they find new revenue streams we would be fine. I am sure the Chrinicle did a piece on FFP Inwill try and find it.

If you listen to the chronicle podcast this week Mark Douglas was saying that if you had asked some of their sources up until the bid came in they were sure the takeover wouldn't happen and that it was just a ploy from Ashley. I think that's where that London Economics article came from. Now they are changing their tune. So it just proves they know fuck all. For all we know a new bid could have been submitted and they are just going over the finer details of it.

Keith Downie has tweeted that talks are ongoing and both sides are confident an agreement will be reached. One thing he said was that PCP want to add a relegation clause where they will be compensated if it happens this season. Seems a bit strange to me if the takeover happens before January and they haven't bought enough players to stay up then is a bit cheeky to say here Ashley give us some money back man.

Didn't he buy the club for £240m, and then pay off debt worth £110m through his interest free loan? Would be interested to know how much he has put in, but it's irrelevant really - the amount of money he's been robbing for the club year-on-year. I think he bought the club for about £120million and loaned us £130 million so total £250 million so even at £300 million he is making a decent profit.

Pete Graves is the one to listen to. I was told about a month ago he is related somehow to Staveley and to watch out for his tweets. Not sure how if even if he is deffinetly related like but worth mentioning.

I am holding on to the hope that surely they would have at least discussed a price and it's been out their in the news for ages that PCP value the club at £300 million. If Ashley thought that was taking the piss it would have been passed to PCP that he just wouldn't accept that.

I think this is just final checks and looking at old sponsorship deals and revenues to get a good understanding of the business. I don't think it will be along process to look at these. These were probably asked for weeks ago and if they are looking at these then it's currently the end game of due diligence. It might be me being to positive but I have a feeling something positive will come out this week.
