  1. If you don't like or rate Rafa as a manager, I'd respect you a lot more if you just said it straight instead of constantly taking sideways digs at him taking this job to build his bank balance. Ummm, he's on about Ashley.
  2. Course there is point talking about it.
  3. And for a boycott (sorry loki679), the details of which game it is need to be revealed well in advance, like a month or more before the game, before the tickets go on sale.
  4. I am replying to other posts about boycotts ffs
  5. Agreed about the consistency, a one off will be good but the more games the better. He won't be sat there laughing in a half empty ground.
  6. Exactly, it's worth it just to get a few less people giving Ashley money for a game, it all helps.
  7. I don't get this, using meeting with family as a reason you still go, you don't HAVE to go to the match, you can come to the city and watch it in a pub, more time to socialise with your family that way anyway.
  8. Kind of don't care if we get relegated as much now, Ashley wants us to stop up...
  9. They will deliberately be trying to get relegated now, fucks sake.
  10. That argument collapses once Rafa goes. But we want Rafa to stay.
  11. I am worried that the boycott idea is just going to be put off, put off, then won't even happen. "Rafa said we need to support the team" seems to be the response. So using that logic, unless Rafa comes out and says "please boycott now", then it's not going to happen.
  12. People need to grasp this. If it happened now, the same people calling for it now, would be complaining that not enough people joined in. What makes you think more people will join in later? Now is the time, bad results and Ashley VISIBLY taking the p*ss and telling fans to f*** off. Time IS NOT on our side in this if we want to keep Rafa Benitez. The protests are getting larger. They are getting more attention by match going fans, they are getting more attention politically, even the media tide is turning. With every protest we are getting more and more coverage, and believe me we are about to get a bit more coverage soon. First you have to entice people to join in the protests, get them to come back to future protests, hand things out etc, then they have the bug and then they will be more willing to take action that they never considered beforehand. We are already seeing this with every protest and every meeting. Ashley is reacting the way he is because it’s getting to him. Even the meal last night would never have happened if it wasn’t from fan pressure, sure he cocked up but that’s an indication that it really is getting to him. Last night you said "trust me they have other plans moving forward". And now this. Why were these plans not discussed at the meeting? I'm not bemoaning anybody's efforts as it has been terrific, but this just seems weird. Aye, can you elaborate please.
