Imagine actually being let down by them against championship opposition man. It is unreal. The only reason I even watched this is because I wanted to see Longstaff, Roberts and Sterry. So sick of the first team. It can't be that it must be the general not giving a fuck about cups attitude filtering on to the pitch which is understandable. We have seen plenty of Roberts and sterry to know they aren't going to make it as a nufc player though

Anyone else think that the instruction has been to just get knocked out of this as Rafa and the club don't want any extra games? I've thought that for ages and there's certainly a ton of evidence to supoort it. If they throw a 2 goal lead away to get knocked out whilst not looking fussed or that they want to even be out there. I can't see how it can be anything else, they probably know there is no point

Unless something has changed in the last 3 years. Which it probably has, because that's a lot of time. And naturally I've done zero research into his progress. Probably Scottish league 1 maybe then. Same for sterry. Crazy how people are still dead keen for us to play youngsters in the cups despite us always getting knocked out and not one ever making it to the first team

I agree they should. Altough the same could be said for countless Cup defeats to lower league teams in the Ashley era. I think it's just the overall feeling of the club not caring that filters on to the pitch in cup games

Harmful in what way!? It's a few extra games a week apart from pl games. It's a myth Birmingham and Wigan would disagree I'd imagine. The Birmingham and Wigan who have both won more than nufc in the last 50 years? Birmingham won the league cup and it was over by February. I'm sure a few extra cup games once a week had nothing to do with Wigan going down. People are going on like the fa cup is played midweek and every round is played 3 days before a league game, if that was the case I could see the point but it's not
