Looks fake to me. Just reading a few recent tweets from the club and they always use the Newcastle hashtag at the end of each tweet which the tweet above is missing.

Haiti in the Gold Cup semi finals. The Gold Cup seems to be outshining the Copa America and the Africa Cup of Nations despite having less quality.

Rabiot second highest paid player in Serie A now apparently and Ramsey is on loads too. Presumably De Ligt would get more than Rabiot too if he went. Seems a bit mad Apparently de Ligt will earn £350,000 per week after tax. I imagine Ronaldo probably earns double that so Juventus's wage bill must be huge.

So why offer Benitez a new contract if the Bin Zayed Group didn't want him? The club statement said itself that they were working on a contract for Benitez, but failed to convince him to stay. Also the same statement says they will begin the process of finding a new manager. If the Bin Zayed Group didn't want Benitez then why didn't the club release a statement weeks saying Benitez would leave at the end of his contract. The Bin Zayed Group have made it clear ages ago that they didn't want Benitez. Most North East journalists feel there is a couple of more interested groups wanting to buy the club so if nobody has been given exclusivity yet then why is Ashley treating the Bin Zayed Group as if its more or less a done deal. As usual its just Ashley deflecting responsibility for his actions and blaming others for his own failings. He can't keep up with his own lies now that they are tying themselves in knots. Whatever chances there were left of the takeover going through I can't see how it can happen if he is attacking the Bin Zayed Group in the press like this.

What did Caulkin say and which podcast?

Surely Juventus will have to sell a lot of players with the amount they are paying in wages for Ronaldo, de Ligt, Ramsey and Rabiot.

The Roma owners are apparently bad news. Totti left his role as director of football a couple of weeks ago because he said they wouldn't listen to his ideas and feels local players like de Rossi are being forced out of the club.

This has always been obvious but what the hell is his plan now, I struggle to see how the club survives, he's actively getting us relegated. During the Pardew era the aim of 17th in the league while spending as little as possible was achieveable for Ashley. Other teams would spend more than Newcastle, but the club scouted a few gems here and there from abroad to keep the club above water. The league was also polluted with PFMs so it was much easier to stay in the league. Things are much more difficult for Ashley to be able to do this. Other teams have proven quality managers or young managers with a bright future, they are spending a minimum of £20 million on decent players, have technical and sporting directors behind the scenes to keep their clubs moving forward and their facilities are light years ahead of Newcastle at the moment. It was proven 3 years ago that Ashley's way of doing things no longer worked in the Premier League. It will be even more evident without Benitez squeezing every last drop from a limited squad that is likely to be without Rondon, Perez and possibily Longstaff leaving this summer. I expect the club to be comfortably relegated next season and he can say goodbye to ever getting £350 million from anyone again.

Be interesting to see where Dani Ceballos goes on loan next season. Scary ability on the ball. Aye. Fabian Ruiz is incredible too. 3-1 now, thought France would be better Was really poor the couple of times I saw him for Napoli last season. Apparently he was one of their best players in the 2nd half of last season.

Not at this stage. Its a question of when the takeover collapses now rather than if. Ashley seeking clarity and setting deadlines means we will soon have the same conclusion as the last two takeover attempts.
-
If people are hoping for a manager they can hate or be shite then they might get their wish if Gerrard or Monk are appointed.
-
Kenyon wants to bring his own man in. I think this was also reported just after news of his bid broke by a few of the normal journos. The Bin Zayed Group would probably want to do the same if the takeover happened. It was consistently reported that they had made no contact with Benitez.
-
I have only watched highlights, but it seems a bid mad that Haiti have topped a group with Costa Rica and Curacao have reached the quarter finals.
-
Why doesn't he just text Midhat Kidwai then?
-
I think Venezuela will beat Argentina.

Lock the thread and just allow someone to update it with relevant articles and reliable accounts on twitter.

Steve Harmisson saying Bowyer should get the job because he knows the club.
-
Can we have some good news for a change?
-
Looks like he was more of a Loki after all.
-
It's strange - he does seem to be the real Saj Chowdhury but there's no blue tick. And they're handed out for fun. You need to apply for one I think.
-
For the life of me, I do not understand what would make the job attractive to anyone. Who the f*** would want this job, now more than ever ? Raise your profile for a couple of seasons then hopefully get the Watford job.
-
Reading his tweets it seems he is just referring to the Bin Zayed Group's statements. I don't know why he would know more than the local journalists.
-
Well it looks it will be option 1 then.

I think this takeover is dead now and I expect to hear from the Bin Zayed Group to confirm they are pulling out next week. It will be 3 failed takeovers in 2 years. At what point does word get out to other billionaires that its impossible to deal with Ashley and they just stop even trying.
