  1. Roberts reminds me of Graeme le Saux for some reason.
  2. The media are more than happy with this because outrage sells. Facts are boring.
  3. The old classic trick of saying you were only trolling people when you were made to look like a complete moron. Ferdinand and Keyes have only helped further increase the number of people question Ashley's poor ownership of the club.
  4. Why should I gamble fixing the brakes in my car with my own money, would you?
  5. What is the point? They are as good as relegated now, might as well start planning for the Championship.
  6. Not a dig at you, but I see this argument made on twitter when another club spends big on a player. The point is, what could Benitez do if given the opportunity to spend that sort of money on players.
  7. Players need confidence going into Cardiff.
  8. I see Henry is doing well at Monaco. A fine example as to why strikers usually don't make good managers.
  9. I tweeted something akin to this earlier. I wrote a thank you to Rio as if it wasn't for his uneducated and inflammatory comments then there wouldn't have been such a media backlash today. I honestly think he's done more harm than good for Ashley in his thoroughly misguided attempt to defend him. As much as it made the red mist decent on me yesterday, in the cold light of day it's been a good thing, never have I seen such media attention against Ashley in such a short space of time. Hopefully it'll wake up a wider audience. The only silver lining from this season has been this. When the takeover collapses then Ashley will look like an even bigger fool after "takeover has never been so far advanced" on Sky before Christmas.
  10. Even if we stay up this season other than goalkeeper and centre backs, there are so many areas that need upgrading not to mention a new manager.
  11. He definitely has a blind spot when it comes to wingers and full backs, but not in a million years would he be allowed to spend £24 million on a single player or even splitting it between two players. All managers make mistakes in the transfer market, the problem with Newcastle is Ashley is hoping all bargain bucket signings can turn into another Cabaye or Dubravka.
  12. Spurs need to replace him this summer, makes lots of errors that lead to goals.
  13. Whose blame? Fans like above, media and people like Jim White will say the usual "Rafa picks the team" and all that.
  14. Play a strong team and get some confidence going into the Cardiff match.
  15. Babel off to Fulham on loan apparently.
  16. I do think if its another poor performance like against Fulham then the blame will shift from Ashley to Benitez.
  17. I don't see why being relegated is such a bad thing anyway, its not like we are using the money to buy players, improve facilities, make the academy better or even expanding the scouting network. I know people will say it reduces the chances of a takeover well most of the well run clubs in the Premier League now like Leicester, Brighton, Bournemouth and Wolves were bought in the Championship or lower even Leeds are turning a corner and look to be on their way back to the Premier League under new owners. Its a pointless existence being in the Premier league you can tell from Ritchie and Perez's recent quotes that this aim of scraping survival every season is grinding the players down as well.
  18. We don't even seem to have a transfer strategy anymore. At least before Benitez arrived it was buy decent young talent with sell on value, but they don't want to do that anymore in the case of Almeiron because of "astronomical fees".
  19. I'm not a violent person, but I honestly want this guy to get 50 lashes.
