He knew exactly what he was doing when he posted that tweet and he got the reaction he wanted. Its the sort of shite Richard Keys or Jim White post and no sympathy from me if people are giving him shit for it.

There is probably some truth to what they say, but I find Barcelona to be one of the most entitled and arrogant clubs in the world.
-
If you zoom in the background it looks like there could be new ones ready to replace them.

I heard rumours Ashley and Bishop turn the frogs gay as well.

Sonia? Fucking hell.

Other teams signing players or in the process of signing some players and we don't know who will be owner or manager at Newcastle.
-
I think I preferred the conversation of how people wipe their arses.
-
If I had a nickel for every time someone said lock the thread I would be able to buy the club myself.

Are we not overreacting a little at that image?

Very impressive business insight from Lee Ryder. Should be speaking at Davos next year.
-
It doesn't sound like they have budged on any of his demands apart from a slightly more money to spend. I think he will leave, I'm probably more optimistic of a takeover than Benitez staying at the moment.
-
Edwards, Ryder, Douglas and Hope are all spitting their dummy out because they are getting called out on claiming that nothing is happening, whilst not offering one bit of evidence to support that this is the case. I still like Mark Douglas he has even conceded himself he has sources saying two different things and understands why fans get frustrated with all this information flying about which is sort of what Caulkin has been saying himself. The other three while they have good sources at the club just seem to enjoy pouring cold water over any sort of optimism around the club.

Is that a takeover being played out in public?
-
According to the Chronicle what we need next to take this takeover forward is a Sales Purchase Agreement. This could be already agreed for all we know.
-
All those facts have been confirmed by the Bin Zayed Group in their statements and by Newcastle journalists playing catch up. The thing is those contracts that have been signed we all know about does not mean we are very close to the deal being done. We just have to wait and see what happens during these Premier League processes for the next 2 weeks and see where we are then.
-
I'm 50/50 only because the Bin Zayed Group feel further along in the takeover process than previous takeovers. There is still a very good chance Ashley moves the goalposts again. Aye. The positive view is we have a buyer putting out pretty convincing statements who seem to have reached a stage previous tryers never did. The negative view is it’s still Ashley we’re dealing with, and there’s absolutely no certainty he’ll not play silly buggers until a deal is officially confirmed. This summer will be massive for the club either way. I think one thing in the Bin Zayed Groups favour this time compared to previous takeovers is it doesn't seem they will have to rely on outside backing to meet the asking price like Staveley and Kenyon had to. But like we all know Ashley could do anything. He could ask for something extra to the deal or take the club off the market as well.

From Mark Douglas. It looks like this week will be quite regarding the takeover and we won't hear anything of substance for another 2 weeks. What exactly are these Premier League processes?
-
When he is fit he is probably the best striker in the world. Pochettino made a mistake playing him.
-
The Bin Zayhed Group can't win either way it seems. They make two statements then Edwards says takeovers should not be played out in public and if they go quiet then its seen as not showing action to get the takeover done. I don't know why Edwards and others in the media have so much doubts over the Bin Zayhed Group because they gave more creditability to Kenyon whos proposed takeover was oddest out of the most recent attempts to buy the club. I would love to see Edwards proved wrong because he seems really bitter about it. https://twitter.com/LukeEdwardsTele/status/1135108952071581699

I think a lot of fans want rid of Ashley so badly that they're twisting every bit of info so that in their heads its all positive. Things like "journalists who are sceptical are just jealous they missed the scoop" - ignoring the fact that extreme scepticism is absolutely needed with Ashley. And especially when it comes to supposed takeovers. The position we need to take is to call it out and say we will believe it when it happens. We've seen this stuff fall apart far too many times before. Remember a few days ago we were already sold, it was a done deal ffs. Now? Starting to look like our bi-annual takeover saga that drags on for a couple of months...by which time Rafa's contract has ran out. There has been a lot of poor reporting in the media regarding the takeover, but I think some people are setting themselves up here for a fall saying this or that report is fake news then like the two previous takeovers Ashley comes and crushes the dream. The two statements from the Bin Zayhed Group are promising, but after initial optimism I'm leaning towards the view that this takeover will just fall apart.

Reading Lee Ryder's article today it doesn't sound like the club have budged on anything to even meet Benitez half way. His future does seem to hinge on a takeover happening and even then its not certain if the new owners would want to keep him. Without a takeover and Benitez Newcastle will be in big trouble next season just from reading interviews from the players they are just as desperate as the fans to see a change of direction at the club.

We are going in circles here and this question has probably been asked a million times already, but can someone tell me how the takeover process of a football club works from beginning to end. I have always thought the fit and proper persons test was the last stage of the takeover process which the Bin Zayhed Group claim to be at yet the deal is still seen as being far from being close to done according to the media.
