  1. Nobody knows anything. Last night it was done, this morning it was way off, this afternoon it was done and now its way off again. My gut feeling though tells me that this will lead to nothing because takeovers are never played out in the public like this.
  2. The Mag are just a carbon copy of Craig Hope.
  3. It didn't stop him writing an article saying the takeover was on the verge of being done. https://twitter.com/LukeEdwardsTele/status/1133104679712415751
  4. I think people need to stop putting so much faith in all these different sources and let everything take its course. Nobody had a clue yesterday what was happening, but now suddenly have the inside track on the takeover. That said I'm a little worried that its being played out in the open now and it usually ends badly when things go this way so I'm anticipating this takeover won't happen.
  5. Andre Villas Boas to Marseilles.
  6. I feel the same way. I thought maybe if it dragged on for 3 or 4 days after the meeting they had last Thursday it was promising, but with it likely to go on for another 10 days at least I just can't see him staying now. Benitez set out his demands last March and made them clear last Thursday a compromise should have been agreed by now if talks were going well.
  7. I don't mean to be a c***, but why do people put so much emphasis on betting odds?
  8. For fuck sake why do people do this to themselves.
  9. I'm not sure how reliable Louise Taylor is, but if there are still sticking points and its dragging out until next week then its hard to see any agreement happening between Benitez and Ashley. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2019/may/22/rafael-benitez-mike-ashley-newcastle-transfer-policy-salomon-rondon-juan-mata
  10. Schulz is apparently going to be their new left back.
  11. Brandt, Thorgan Hazard and Schulz all going to Dortmund apparently. I don't know if its because I don't pay as close attention to the transfer market in the other European leagues compared to the Premier League, but it feels like teams on the continent get their business done really early without much trouble.
  12. Chelsea chased Sarri for months to the point where negotiations got ugly with Napoli and are now happy to let him go at the first sign of trouble. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2019/05/21/chelsea-will-not-stop-maurizio-sarri-leaving-juventus-5million/amp/#click=https://t.co/zEd8ZVLplM
  13. The Chronicle do it all the time and it makes them a lot of money. Quote a dubious report abroad, legitimise it, make calls to their sources. say they understand that the report was wrong and talks are continuing and then get defensive when people call them out for click bait.
  14. It should have been done a long time ago, but if its not done by the end of the week then Benitez is gone.
  15. A striker at his age is not going to want to sit on the bench in his first big move. He would also cost £20 million so he would likely be our first choice striker anyway.
  16. This sounds positive if its true. https://t.co/lAzFGx6giD
  17. 50M is f*** all in the grand scheme of things over 2 transfer windows means we can buy half a richarlison in the summer and the other half in January. We need to invest 100m in the summer and whatever in January if its required Just give what the club generates Mike you fat incompetent c*** if West Ham and Everton can then surely to f*** we can rather than Charnley pleading poverty. f***s sake Bournemouth blow us out of the water with their spending You don't have to spend in January. Most clubs don't because its extremely difficult to buy players in that transfer window. Its usually only clubs desperate to survive relegation that use it these days. That said I think Benitez needs closer to £70 million this summer. Not every player has to have a big transfer fee, but with so many issues in our squad to fill that is what is required in my opinion.
