Its been mentioned for a couple of months there will be changes to the academy. Maybe this interesting appointment could be a player that used to play for Benitez during his time at Liverpool to be a coach at the academy.

I can't see Liverpool reaching the same number of points next to keep up with Man City even if they invested heavily. They will probably comfortably finish 2nd again, but Man City will win it next season. They are not as good as last season, but still managed to get nearly 100 points again. I don't like Man City, but that's very impressive.
