I think all interested parties can afford Ashley's asking price its either because going through the clubs books has shown its not worth what Ashley is asking or Ashley is asking for things on the side like free advertising or control of club merchandise which makes it pointless buying the club in the first place.
-
If we go down and don't come straight back up Ashley will lower his asking price dramatically Also no one/ less will want to buy us Leicester, Wolves, Brighton, Huddersfield, Watford, Bournemouth and even Leeds who look likely to be promoted this season have all been bought outside the Premier League and are now better run clubs than Newcastle.
-
Mail running a piece via Craig Hope this morning, suggesting that none of the 'interested parties' have been able to raise funds and Ashley is preparing to admit that he can't sell the club. It's all playing out as many of us thought it would. Hope has also said that Ashley will be at the match today. Much sooner than I thought it would be. Actually the exact same time he called off things with Staveley. It makes a mockery of that letter a couple of weeks ago. Nobody should take anything the club say seriously after that stunt in Sky.
-
From Craig Hope. Like clockwork. Should be called out after that shite about "sale is advanced" talk before Christmas.
-
Should make Michael Owen our transfer record breaking signing to complete the set.
-
He's their Chris Hughton and not because he's black.
-
Arnautovic been dropped from West Ham's squad. Got Rashford and Brooks in.
-
Mawson out injured for Fulham after trying to put on his boots.

Ability is questionable, but seems like a decent guy.

I guarantee the next big story will be by the end of the month saying Newcastle takeover has collapsed due to key Kenyon investor pulling out because of relegation fears.

How is a win good? I just read you saying your in full burn it down mode. I suppose a lot of people, including yours truly, somewhere deep down wants us to stay up in the hope of a new owner. An owner who wants to compete in the game of football. I thought this last summer, but Ashley just ended up increasing the price after staying up. I also thought Benitez would at least get a modest budget of say £40 million to work instead he couldn't even sell to buy. What is the point this time? Do people really want to go through another poor summer transfer of signing bargain bucket players and scrape around for survival.
-
I think Leicester would be the perfect job for him. They are ambitious and would be close to his family. Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea and maybe Man United could be vulnerable in the next few years so he could probably get them into the top 6 if he gets what he wants.
-
Anyone would be forgiven for thinking the same person briefed both Rio and Dennis on what to say in front of the cameras. c***s I notice they always use the same line by saying Ashley is a great businessman to justify his poor ownership. I'm sure all football club owners are great businessmen, but being a good football owner is completely different.
-
I would probably still look at Newcastle news just to see how bad things will get in the summer, but I wouldn't blame anyone for turning their backs at the club if Ashley is still owner by then. Supporting a football should be fun and exciting, but its nothing like that at Newcastle. Nobody can look forward to any exciting signings, a cup run or investment in facilities and infrastructure instead you are just waiting for the next time the club decide to do something to take the club further backwards. Even when we do have good things happen to us under Ashley like finishing 5th or Benitez being manager it just encourages Ashley to do worse things. I'm glad I have other interests in sport, outside sport and still interested in football as a neutral and I would encourage people if you are fed up with Newcastle to not make it the highlight of your weekend anymore and look for something more fun to do. I will be going to watch a film when Newcastle play tomorrow instead because its much more worth my time.

From Matt Hughes.

I think we will struggle to get promoted from the Championship even if Ashley decides to spend some money to get out of it.
-
I'm convinced its going to be Sherwood as our next manager because according to that article Wise has convinced Sherwood to defend Ashley whenever he is on tv. More and more convinced now that there is little to nothing with this takeover even if Kenyon's interest is real.
-
I think this is exactly what he will do.
-
Must be really annoying for Dortmund losing their under 23 coach all the time.
-
Probably doesn't mean anything, but Benitez has gone from not wanting to talk about transfers to they are working hard on transfers. It will probably be a couple of shit loan deals anyway. If we do stay up these loan deals are going to kill us next season.
-
Why not just say that instead of wasting Cardiff's time?
-
I shouldn't be surprised, but still unbelievable we are not even close to signing anyone or even in advanced talks. At least last season Dubravka and Kenedy looked like they were on their way, but we are in a worse position this time.
-
I would rather sell Darlow anyway.

My mate is adamant that shelvey is leaving this month. I'm really sick of everyone elses mates and lads at work.

You arn’t allowed to link to the Daily Mail, Sun, or Chronicle without quoting the article. The Daily Mail and Sun because they are scummy and to prevent them earning advertising revenue through clicks, the Chronicle because they have so many adverts it crashes people’s computers. It doesn't anymore.
