Doing well in u21 and being good enough to make the first team squad don't necessarily equate. He is clearly not rated and will most likely leave on a free next year
-
You never know 😂 He might be a proper late bloomer. Not in a million years do we think Joselu would play for Madrid and scored in the CL semi-final

I am playing devils advocate here. We fans don’t have access to the finer contractual details between Isak/Wissa and the clubs. Is it possible the club(s) might be more in the wrong? I think Isak or Wissa care about their reputation. Judging by their reactions the players clearly feel the clubs not dealing with them fairly and feel the need to escalate. I just think many fans are too quick to judge “he is a greedy cunt he only cares about money”. Again we fans really don’t know the fine details of what they are disputing. And are we saying going on strike is always wrong and never justified? I mean even doctors and nurses were doing it quite recently. I am not trying to justify or condone Isak/Wissa’s behaviour, just think we might need a bit more intellectual humility and be open to the idea that it is possible we fans just don’t have all the information to make a impartial judgement.

Is Muniz underrated? 1 goal in 119 mins apparently so might be a good Wilson’s replacement?
-
and Wissa actually training, Brentford just wants him away from the first team

I am not sure if 50m is really MASSIVE overpay. Imo 40-45 is fair, especially we think Isak is worth 150m. We are talking about someone who scored 19 non-penalty goals last season (same as Isak) and Brentford’s all time top scorer in PL. i know he’s 29 next month, but we just sold Longstaff who will be 28 quite soon for 15m with only 12 months left in his contract. Imo he very much suits our style of play and is probably the best option available. Hope we get it done ✍️

I am speculating but it seems to me Wissa feels Brentford has handled this in an unfair way. Perhaps those reports about broken promises were true, and now Brentford is also moving the goalpost and demand a higher fee compared to figures widely reported. To me the matter is not simply about Wissa not getting his wish but rather he might feel the issue at hand is being mishandled

See if we can agree a loan with option deal with Chelsea for Jackson. They want to get rid to raise funds and we quite desperately need a central forward so hopefully they see it as a win-win

Regarding Bruno's passing, I remember when Miggy had his purple patch Bruno was dinging those lob passes to him every game and we looked real threatening. I hope with Elanga who has tremendous pace and very two-footed we will see those creative plays again.
-
You just didn't realise we have been in the same team for a while
-
I am first today.

Bruno and Tonali should be the ones threading those passes. So I am quite disappointed with their creative play, especially Bruno. These days he is pretty much all graft and some nice tidy passes but generally little creativity provided

Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

why shouldn’t I mention Jota? I know Liverpool lost him not because of transfers but due to an accident. Clearly there was nothing disrespectful from me. Appreciate if you can enlighten me, considering I am from Hong Kong and English is not my first language -

I think Liverpool is still short of a centre forward? They lost Diaz, Nunez and Jota -
Really want Joe Willock to succeed here. He was a big part of our 4th finish in 22/23. I have many fond memories of that season. I hope he stays injury free and make many of us eat our words about flogging him
-
i remember we beat Arsenal 1-0 in Nov 23 with Gordon playing as striker and scoring the only goal. Arsenal fans were complaining Joelinton fouled Gabriel (just checked, Wilson started but subbed off at 62 then Gordon moved central and scored at 64) Most people here absolutely despise the idea of Gordon playing central but I have a feeling he will pleasantly surprise us. For one he presses well, and he is usually an intelligent player linking up well with others and making the right decisions under pressure. Hopefully he has been working on his finishing Obviously still want at least 1 proper striker in before window closes
-
Plenty of games to play so we will need to rotate at some point. Also, you seem to just assume our top 3 will stay injury free all season?
-
Lol that would be such a pathetic excuse. You think fans, other players, Howe and the higher ups will buy that? Hope I am wrong but I don't think it is good for the team if he stays around. He has shown an utter lack of commitment and disrespect to the club with his behaviour. Howe made the comment that he only wants players who want to be here and that remark is quite telling I think. If the club gets a decent enough offer like 135 or 140m + at least 1 striker in (e.g. Wissa), I can see we would be quite willing to get rid of him
-
I don't know much about how those finances work so I asked ChatGPT 5. Apparently if we sell for 130+10, we can still profit about 96m after sell-on clause (-14m) and amortisation (-30m). 96m is a massive profit after getting few good years from him and him played a pivotal role in our top 5 finish + cup trophy. I hope Isak will apologise and willing to stay for another year but that does not look likely at the moment.
-
Imo 130+10 easily achievable add-ons will be a good deal. I personally don't see how he could be reintegrated back to the team. 140m is loads of money if we reinvest wisely it could close the gap between us and the likes of Arsenal, City and Liverpool. On the bright side, Liverpool with Isak will take plenty of points off our CL rivals like Chelsea and Villa and indirectly help us for another top 5 finish.

Release clause 26m euros apparently so pretty much a no-brainer. But lots of clubs including Spurs are competing to sign him
