They both have very good stamina. And we were kind of toying with Bradford in the 2nd half -

Yes that was how we usually set up the backline in the 22-23 season. Trippier further up the field providing width with Schar Botman and Burn very much playing a back 3 Now with Botman, Joelinton and Tonali around him and him having good positional sense, Burn probably can do a decent job at LB. But obviously a fully fit Lewis Hall will be ideal. -
It was Saliba. The knee is a hinge joint mostly allowing bending and straightening with some give for little bit of rotation, a full-on impact from the side while the knee is straight put lots of strain on the ligaments of the knee.

i don't think thats the issue. Against a much weaker team like Bradford you wouldn’t say that probably. Against Barca and Arsenal we kind of need to when a better team dominates possession and when we win the ball we really struggle to keep it due to too many players not being press resistant enough and our defenders just boot the ball up the field giving the ball straight to the other team. Hopefully Botman and Thiaw (together with a ball playing keeper one day) can change that a bit. We all know it, our team even with recent success lack flair and technical ability. Read someone’s comment about our team being too “robotic” and to me that is probably a fitting description. We so often look clueless whether it is against a weaker team (e.g. Leeds, Everton) or a top team like Arsenal yesterday creating so little. We looking like we are badly exposed now without a top 5 striker in the world and other attackers like Gordon not being in peak form

@KennyUtd @GideonShandy @El Prontonise most insightful comment I've read today about Tino's injury

Exactly my thoughts. Schar and Botman need to take charge of anything to do with kicking or passing. Pope is eternally terrible with his feet
-
I am not sure if he injured his right or left leg. Yes he seems to have twisted his right knee when planting on the ground but I won't be surprised if it is his left knee that was injured. Saliba bumped his left lower leg forcefully from the outside, putting much tension on the inner structures like the MCL of that knee. Anyway, we will find out soon how long he will be out. Hopefully it is not as bad as it looks.

I thought he was alright today by his standards. He didn't do much wrong. Hard to judge him given Arsenal dominated possession throughout the game and he was facing the best backline in the league.

I just rewatched the goal. Nothing to do with Lascelles at all as he was marking Trossard and Botman got Merino as his assignment. There is no way Lascelles could head away the ball with the arc of that cross. It was very much 1v1 aerial duel between Merino and Botman and Merino timed his jump perfectly. Botman didn't anywhere near enough to block or deflect the header

Can u post the link of video of the injury? Couldn't find the footage on X or the extended highlights. Gutted he might be out for a while. He is such a consistent and dependable performer so a huge loss for us
-
He didn't do much wrong with that chance. Just didn't have pace of Elanga or Gordon and Rice defended really well
-
It seems to me he pretty much didn’t put a foot wrong the entire game but did lose the aerial duel against Merino which resulted in their first goal. That was slightly disappointing considering he has about 2 or 3 inches on him but got out jumped massively. He could have perhaps deflected the ball if he got close enough Might be slightly harsh on him considering Merino is very good in the air as we all know
-
very scared 😂😂😂😂

Atmosphere was terrific today. Gutted that we conceded 2 late goals but it was a fair result. Hard to admit, but this is about our level really when we are not close to our absolute best

His first touch was poor i thought when he received a cross field ball down the right
