  1. Just been watching espn gab marcotti mentioned we can spend more money if we can present a credible plan of how we intend to grow revenue.
  2. You’re right but he did quite well in the champions league too, after Conte said it couldn’t be done.
  3. Just a thought but it’s really interesting how there was so much backlash against Liverpool and Totttenam for putting there staff on furlough and with Mike no one batted an eye lid.
  4. Want Rafa, think it will be Allegri. He’s out of work and we all know Rafa doesn’t break contracts. Been rumoured with that scout/sporting director who worked at Juve.
  5. Lascelles doing an instalive chat with this guy at seven
  6. That’s interesting. I’ve just been reading up on him. He seems like a bit of a character, does things on the spin for example he decides his tactics when he gets out of bed in the morning, only analysis videos for a few minutes, doesn’t like too drill players too much, but prefers to coach them to find there own way out of things. He’s also been praised as you say for his tactical flexibility. Apparently he has had trouble in the past when left with a dressing room without too many leaders.
  7. He can be a bit stubborn, especially away from home. If his teams are leading 0-1 against a fairly poor side with ≤30 minutes left he tends to have his side close out the game and take 0-1, which can go wrong at times. But that tends to be the case with most Italian managers tbh, catenaccio and all that. But he's probably the most elite manager out of the potential candidates. Why?
  8. 11 now in second place behind west Germany
  9. Interesting watch. Don’t agree with some of the points made but interesting to find out exactly what kind of vitriol were about to have thrown at us
  10. Probably should. I can’t help but feel it’s part of the reason we didn’t do more to push Ashley out. In the Shepard years we were probably the least passive fans around and got a lot of criticism and negative press between 04-10 for it. That when labels like “deluded” and “entitled”, started being thrown around.
  11. https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=282654.14640 Sanctimonious c***s. I'd love to see how they'd react in the same situation after 13 years of Ashley. Strange bunch in the majority over there. Making it out to be the fans faulty for not ousting Ashley and choosing Saudis. It’s amazing when your on the outside looking in how different things look. Tbf, we definitely could have done more to get rid of Ashley and we don’t do ourselves any favours with the way some of our fans have reacted in recent days.
  12. In the seasons he was at juve he signed Dybala, Manzukic, Khedira, Rugani, Neto, Hernanes, Sandro, Cuadrado, pjanic, Bhatia, Higuaín, Pjaca, Bentancur, Costa, Höwedes, Matuidi, Scezney, di Sciglio, Bernardeschi, And at Valencia he signed Murillo, Kondogbia, Guedes, Diakhaby, Wass, Piccini, Batshuayi, racic, Gil, Cancelo, Medrán, Orellana, Nani, Bakkali, Cheryshev, Gameiro, Sobrino, Roncaglia. Also worked with Allegri so a sign he might be coming?
  13. Particularly worrying sentence for someone who used to work for Dennis wise Longoria doesn’t have a professional background in football, but he has a great knowledge of players in Europe, and he became a scout by learning about it and prospective players from the internet.

  15. Apparently interested in Tete from Shakhtar Donetsk. Don’t know who he is but his price tag is 70mil so he must be good.
  16. Again I agree with most of that. You are very right that this is a systemic failure with in English football one that has been on the cards for a long time that we have done nothing to prevent. The only thing I would pick up on from that post is that i am not in anyway trying to say they are anything other than horrible or say they have suddenly become wonderful.
  17. Is that something they do? Reintroduce abhorant laws After bad pr dies down? Don’t disagree with anything you said there. I would much prefer one of those American owners supposedly interested. Didn’t post that link to defend them btw.
  18. Announced with in the last hour they are going to stop using flogging as a form of punishment https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/world/2020/apr/25/saudi-arabia-to-end-flogging-as-a-form-of-punishment
  19. You might be right but do we know this for sure? Some in this thread have pointed out that SA, have a young population that want to become a more liberal society. MBS, himself is fairly young so it’s not out of the question to think he might be one of those who want to see a change in society. It’s an interesting question with in this debate as to how much credit we should give them for reforms even though they are still doing abhorrent shit and if even mentioning the improvements could itself be deemed as sportswashing.
  20. Thought he knocked us back because he’s an Everton fan
