Saw that the other day and didn’t want to post it for that reason. I’ve defended him over the years as I believe in redemption and second chances etc. I can’t help but feel there’s very little rereading of Joey. Nothing is ever his fault, he talks about that Alonso tackle as if it’s because Shearer made him play through an injury. You can blame a bad performance on an injury, but surely if you were injured that would cause you to be more conservative with your tackles rather than completely reckless like that one on Alonso.

He produces nowt at Man City imo because he’s often been out out on the wing and given very little freedom there because Pep likes his wingers to keep the width. Apparently we want him as a lcm, presumably as a 8/10. If he’s willing to put in the work defensively, but then given a bit of freedom going forward, like he had at Villa, he could be very good imo. Right wing of course should be the priority but I do think we’ve lacked creativity from midfield area too over the season.

Any stadium that could host a cricket game would probably be terrible for football. If it annoys rtg, it would probably be worth it though.

Bit sad to see how virtually every player just leaves as soon as real come calling. You would think a local lad would want to play for Liverpool, for his whole career given they themselves are a massive club and are perfectly capable of winning the same trophies Real Madrid are trying to win.

Very happy to keep him if he can keep his off field problems at bay. Tino is an exciting talent so it’s ideal to have an experienced head like Trippier as competition for that spot. Playing the role of someone who can come in and do a job might just be what’s best for Tripps at this stage of his career right now too.

This is largely true. Really think Eddie should be careful with how he handles him. Think he should come off fairly early in games where we’re comfortable.
