What a headline as well How unfortunate for someone as desperate as Ashley to sell the club that for the 3rd time in 2 years another buyer doesn't have the funds to buy the club. It’s about 8 times in 10 years. Ashley must be so frustrated at these time wasters and tyre kickers Why hasn’t The FCB come out and made an official statement that any takeover by BZG is off? Because it's not off yet. Even if it is. He hasn't announced it, so it isn't. But it probably is.

godzilla[/member] will still believe but but the sheikh will do this the sheikh will do that Is it official like, oh wait ......... I'm with you man. Nothing's official until it's official.

Well.... they're all coming back from Faro. Him, the entire team and coaching staff. Their pre-season tour thing over there is finished. Why are they flying to Newcastle? Is there any proof that they are flying to Newcastle? Surely there'd be photos of Bruce at the airport by now

I would piss myself if he turns us down that'd cap this summer off perfectly

Didn't realise it was in there it'll be total nonsense anyway

A crazy theory brought up on Reddit: one of the other bidders is possibly Jim Ratcliffe, the UK's richest man. Apparently his private jet flew into Farnborough yesterday. Ashley's jet flew to Nice yesterday, which is close to where Ratcliffe lives in Monaco. Ratcliffe is currently taking over OGC Nice. He already owns a Swiss Super League team. Maybe he wants to add a Premier League team to his portfolio? Probably (definitely) nowt in it, but it'd be cool if the UK's richest man bought NUFC. We can but dream.....
-
Can't wait for another day of fuck all. What's today's most ridiculous ITK going to be? I'm going for Donald Trump tweeting about how he's heard from a good mate that the takeover is on and that it's going to be the biggest, the greatest takeover ever. Make NUFC great again!
-
Howay man, it's fucking dreadful

I'm going to disregard The Little Waster's opinions on EVERYTHING now that I know he's a Mrs Brown's Boys fan. "Comedy" for people whose single remaining brain cell is on the blink.

What did it say? Take a look at Fake Sheikh (@BinZayedEU): https://twitter.com/BinZayedEU?s=09 First tweet posted by this bellend. Account was claiming to be a Bin Zayed Group European account. Looks like it may have been deleted, it said: "As part of our ongoing efforts towards expansion in the European Market. HH Sheikh Khaled Bin Zayed Al Nehayan has completed the formal takeover of Newcastle United FC in the English Premier league on behalf of the Bin Zayed Group. A full statement will follow #nufc #BZG #Dubai"

Nope.

Eh?

The Kenyon letter was "leaked" via a pro-Ashley journalist and read like exposition from a badly written film (telling the other person things they should already know in order to fill the audience in on what was happening). I don't believe this is like that at all, and I don't believe Kenyon was ever really serious about buying NUFC, it felt more like he was just doing Ashley a favour.
-
The Central bar in Gateshead did the same thing. I bet he's gutted.....
-
I'm keeping the faith, lads. It's not over until we hear that the deal has fallen through. This "statement" hasn't done that. Staying positive for now.
-
Waiting on PL approval still, most likely. Who the fuck knows though
-
I know all of this flight tracking nonsense is probably a waste of time, but someone on Reddit has pointed out that the flight that people were tracking the other day (that went from Abu Dhabi > Newcastle > London) is moving again, this time to Massachusetts, where the Sheikh attended university. I have absolutely no idea why he'd go back there, but surely this is too much to be mere coincidence. Proof that he was indeed in the UK to tie up the deal? I don't know, and it's probably not worth looking into further. Feel like pure shit just want Ashley gone
-
Could be that PL are taking forever to complete whatever it is they're doing, and BZG haven't had a decision either way yet. Fingers crossed....
-
I very much doubt we've actually approached Steven Gerrard. He's in a job so compensation would need to be paid. Can you really see Ashley doing that when he could just hire some out of work nobody?
-
Probably praising the current owner to keep him buttered up until the deal goes through. Either that or he has actually been easy to deal with, unbelievable as that is
-
Oh.

Sounds like it's on to me, they haven't said "But Ashley is a fat bastard who ruined everything" .....yet
