Just out of interest, is there anyone who thinks this GB News stunt is a good thing?
-
Expect us to win this now the 'Walthamstow Charisteas' is back in form.

Ahhh after he was prompted for comment but not part of his original thread. But fair enough.
Not exactly the most committed commentary though seeing as though it's the salient part of the club and AS's statements.
Was just highlighting it for you as I thought you'd be interested
Not like whoever it was earlier deliberately misrepresenting what he'd said, which helps nobody.

No comment on the need for transparency either.

As a side point, recent developments also show all of the ITKs to be full of shit…
Arbitration didn’t start last week, there doesn’t seem to be anything deal breaking in NUFC’s case vs the PL otherwise there would be no need for all of this and did Staveley not phone Keith today? Or did he not see this statement because Kennedy didn’t?
People should stop giving these idiots airtime who are milking a shit situation and dragging people along.
I don't think anyone can argue with that now.

Not if you read the full thread he says it's a desperate move by them and something they shouldn't do because even if the takeover goes through they need to deal with the EPL.
He doesn't say that. He says it could either be seen as confident, confrontational or a little desperate.

To be fair it wasn't written to them. The Chronicle would be better off asking Tracey Crouch for a comment if they want to contribute something.

Cleary a small dig at the fake ITKs like Keith and Wraith who are only after self-promotion instead of what’s best for the club. Greg is a top lad doing it for the right reasons. My point still stands. They've chosen what to spend the last year working on, and it isn't this.

This is probably the most encouraging thing I have seen related to NUST.
Don't agree with the "don't have time thing" given how much time has been wasted on this pledge exercise.
Edit: should add that it will be great when the money does get donated to local charities obviously.

The Trust should now be issuing there own statement and mailing Tracy Crouch showing they're fully in support of that letter/statement from Staveley.
They've said they've spoken to her but don't have the time to tell people what was said at the moment.

I thought that was already history?
Not sure.

Staveley getting involved now kinda dispels any suggestion that it's just Mike out for compo.
Is she not poised to lose her deposit if it fails? £17m or something? Honestly can't remember.

They hated Henderson too, all thought Colback was better.

Shows where they are when they’re clinging on to two ex-players who had to leave to fulfill their potential. If Sunderland drew Lazio or Roma in the Europa Conference even one day I’d give them that if we were in the doldrums but not when they’re closer to Hartlepool in the league ladder than Newcastle.
Pewls are a good side marra.

Graeme Jones is there telling Henderson and Pickford what to do.

was it you? ahahahaha
I mean if you can't see a difference between the two I can't help you. There's a difference between making sure you're solid but still attacking as we do and hoying the entire team behind the ball like Greece did.
Two games from "I'd be embarrassed to win a tournament playing like you did"

Oh shit I think I missed the Greece thing mate, aye, that's not a remotely appropriate comparison. We're playing more like an Italian team or maybe the Zidane era French team with defence as the focus but a clear structure and plan when we get the ball.
Yeah, and when it was pointed out that it was a load of rubbish it was doubled down on.

Manorpark is a cracking wum to be fair to him. Not a chance he really believes what he's posted over the last few pages.

Agree with all of that
I'm not even saying I think we'll win it, that's the thing.
But anyone (not you obviously) coming off the back of last night looking for and listing reasons we won't, or comparing us to Greece, then I really think they need to take up watching a different sport.

Best defensive unit at the tournament so far.
Despite his slow start, i don't think there's much doubt we have the best centre forward left at the tournament.
In Sterling, I'd say we have one of the best players at the whole tournament, who has arguably been the most influential on his side.
By far the best attacking options from the bench.
But aye, what if we let a goal in.

Gary Neville said earlier on that Gareth Southgate didn't feel that we had the players to outplay good opposition, and that he had decided on a very conservative style, with good discipline as the best way of getting results. I didn't want to hear that, because I felt that we had some skilful players for once who could play to a different style. We did play much better in the qualifying matches and the pre-tournament friendlies.
Well it looks like Gary Neville was right in his assessment of Southgate's defensive tactics. In attack, we're relying on traditional British tactics of trying use the wings to get behind the opposition, and centring the ball for a close range header or shot. All but one of our goals has come from the wings, and we're making very little attempt to work the ball through the midfield - something which the better teams have in their armoury.
Last night, the Ukrainian defence proved to be very poor in the air. When Jordan Henderson scores with a header direct from a corner kick, something's going wrong.
So I share the anxiety about how we'll cope with a good side and we go behind. In that situation, we won't be able to break down a defence with the limited style that we're using at the moment. We'll have to change, and we have the players to do that, but it won't be easy to change gear like that. We may get lucky, but with Denmark and Italy / Spain to come, we may well have to face up to that challenge.
Four fucking nil mate.
Live for the moment rather than looking for hypothetical failures to be disappointed about.
Amazing how five clean sheets and not having been behind yet is now a stick to beat them with.

Anyone who thinks GB News is great need to give their heads a shake like. Another partisan, right based news channel, packed with know-nothing talking heads. Fantastic.
I'm betting he's never even seen it. Caught up in "it's happening, it's being reported, so those reporting it are great" and is stuck there now.
