I thought Almiron was an absolute pile. A headless chicken with the ball. So frustrating. A Rafa buy. Shelvey and Gayle can get us going again. Anyone know a good app for NUFC for the firestick? I had to watch via android phone.

Our midfield have been absolute turd so far this season. Almiron is a headless chicken 99% of the time. Longstaff's free kicks and corners have been woeful.

Man City were a much better project and value for money so Ashley didn't have much impact anyways. He wouldn't have sold either. If we can spend £40 mil on a striker, we can spend big again this summer so stop wallowing!

Bruce oversaw the summer transfer window and was delighted with the squad he masterfully assembled. But it is what it is. It was an ok squad on paper but I'm on about the number of TV games over Christmas being played within a short period of time. We should have enough in the squad to be ok though for the remainder of the season and improve in the summer.

Is he not meaning it's down to having too many games in a short period of time and not having the quality in depth?

We've been just as shite in other games and won so not really, although it would be nice to watch us play well for a change. It's based on the last couple of transfer windows where we have spent a reasonable amount of money. We are a decent team when all players are fit.

Cost us a goal against Everton. The ref cost us the game. It was nice to have our fans supporting the team for a change instead of the usual negativity. We are approaching the transfer window and an opportunity to ship out some of our players who are of no use and just a drain on the finances and replace with one or two who could have big value for the remainder of the season and beyond. I'm quetly confident we can bring in 1 or 2 quality players although it'll no doubt be on the 31st of January if we do. If this happens Bruce should have a squad even he is capable of getting enough points with for the remainder of the season. Enough to get the crowd going for at least 5 mins per game in between the groans.

He's realised people won't pay the ticket prices so he may as well give them away free. Good PR work so it's a no brainer. It lures in new fans also. A full house cheering the team on to get a higher placed finish also will more than cover the lack of ticket sales.

I despair. The line of least resistance has been broken and replaced by subordination. 'Accept Ashley'? 'Support Bruce'? The end of NUFC, as we knew and truly loved it, is here. With 50,000 supporters like you there is simply no point. As I have done several times in my long and eventful life. Until then accept dross, because that is what you have just advocated. You deserve it......... I have experienced the joys under Keegan and Sir Bob. Owners good but left the books in a mess. Advocating dross or not, the outcome will be the same as there is too many factors in Ashley's favour. The money made from TV and sponsorship means even an empty stadium would have little difference. I still think the team will come good. Money being spent on the likes of Almiron and Joelinton should continue if we stay up. I just hope we get better value.

And yet Bruce has not once played him in the position he started with promise last season. Yet you choose to support that? The same position where did did nowt there either. No goals and no assists. Passing and shooting just as shocking. Hopefully learns how to dive as this is the only potential as it will be another 40 shots to get another goal.

My view is the best thing to do is to accept Ashley is impossible to get rid of and any protesting only damages the club. We should support Bruce and the team. For the money spent on Almiron we should have got a much better return. The money was spent though and then doubled on another player so it's not as if there is no money being spent. We have players like Colback and Saviet holding us back also. Gayle, Muto and Ki offering next to nowt. Getting rid of these players and replacing with decent players would give us a solid squad. Sooner the better as Bruce doesn't have much options at the moment.

I'd say most people agree performances have been woeful to date and not getting carried away but think Bruce has done ok so far considering the number of points gained to date and the squad quality and being an average coach.

Against Norwich Bruce showed how terrible we can be regardless of the quality in defence under him, so should get praise for us not getting hammered every week which could have been the case.

Considering we don't have Rondon or Perez this season and the injuries to Maximin and Gayle, Carroll being out for so long, Joelinton struggling, Almiron not being able to hit a barn door until today, Bruce has done ok so far with this yoyo club.

It'll take a few games but he should get back to where he was.
