Agree that a lot of the squad has run it's course, which is why I think it's clear we're in a transition season as well as having all these extra games. You can definitely interpret this season as the beginning of a downward spiral but it would be the last conclusion I'd come to when you look at all the mitigating factors and Howe's record until now personally.

Not just being a pedant/contrarian here, but that's never been relegation battle status like. Most teams survive on 36 points after 38 games, last two seasons you would survive on 26 and 27 points.

Just talking about our general play tbh, the capitulation from leading thing seems to have everything influencing it considering how often it's happened.

The same argument was made the further we got into 23/24. Not saying it's the sole reason but it's exactly what we look like right now and it looks clear to me that it's playing a big part in why we're not improving.

We look exactly like a team that's low on confidence and playing its 18th game out of 26 in a 12 week period.
