I dunno like, I felt like this in 23/24 as well and we had that period of wins and I still couldn't be bothered. -

It's not even just our form either, it's just fatigue from oversaturation. I don't want to watch a match every 3 days, it's too much. -

I think I've mentioned this before but I think Ginola is the best ever example (at least at Newcastle) of stats not telling the full story. Best example I can think of to try and prove it is that Longstaff, in a season when everyone agreed he was poor (23/24) scored more than Ginola did in his entire Newcastle career. In spite of that, Ginola was imo one of the main reasons we went from European contenders to title contenders in that 6 month period where he was unplayable and played at a level I'd never seen from a Newcastle player before. Teams played differently against us because of him and the threat he posed with his goal threat, but mainly his assists with both feet. Totally understand people having Robert ahead of him like, his stats are great and he was also a great player for us, I would just say that with Ginola the devil was in the details.

Yes, totally the same thing. As soon as xG was mentioned we all knew what would come next.
-
Oh class, it's the worst patter of all time again. Everyone knows what everyone's opinion on xG is. Every mention of it devolving into a few people's mission to wreck any ongoing conversation and turn it into the same merits of xG debate was tiresome months ago.

I totally appreciate the point that sacking SBR wasn't the wrong decision, but who he was replaced with was. However, I think you can also say that because the replacement was wrong it comes as part of a full package that was wrong, and a mistake I think the club would make again. I'd be surprised if the people who want Howe sacked also believe or trust that the club would get a better replacement tbh. I certainly don't and I wouldn't even if I wanted Eddie gone.

Present one that isn't stuff you've made up and you might get a response that isn't dismissive.
-
Banners and stuff were never needed under Shepherd tbf, that only became something that was needed specifically with Pardew under Ashley. For all of Shepherd's faults, of which there were plenty, hanging on to managers that weren't producing the goods and were never going to wasn't one of them.
-
Gonna have to try that place next week like.
-
Completely giving up on signings 6 months in is crazy. If they're still not producing the goods next season I think that's the point where you say it's not working out.
-
Wish someone would just say like. I wasn't allowed to change my username years ago because I was told the whole dual identity thing was a problem.

Don't think anyone's suggesting you're hiding your true feelings. They're openly on full display. It's only when they're then mentioned that you're somehow incredulous over it. It's bizarre.
-
Another one that doesn't want Howe gone and wants him to prove them wrong, who we all definitely believe.
-
Not like you to strawman other people's arguments and still fail to tear them down with your own.
-
Some serious catastrophising one-upmanship going on at the minute.

Your CEO being M.I.A for a year, your DoF walking out on the eve of the transfer window and then the club not replacing either until a month or two after the window closed isn't Howe being given the reigns, or Howe being given control, as if it's some sort of reward or privilege that he wanted or earned. It's all of us being left in the shit and Howe having the responsibility of digging us out of it thrust upon him while those above him looked (and continue to look) at every time-critical decision that's their responsibility and respond to it by throwing their hands up and saying "inshallah". Some might say it's culture clash, or due diligence, others might say it's gross incompetence.
-
The circumstances that lead to him having control, and his nephew spending £250m in the summer continue to not even get mentioned, let alone disregarded. Despite it being crucial to whether you believe he's been supported properly or not. I've said it before but the way people speak you'd think he'd demanded the circumstances he's been expected to pick up the baton on, it's crazy.
-
Oh aye he's a little tosspot, he just sometimes lands on the truth when he's doing his whole contrarian thing.

Go on then...Rate the January 2026 Transfer Window

This has been known for a while, but it did nothing unfortunately. -
I can't stand Edwards but there's a kernel of truth in part of what he's said there. Some of our fans have ragebaited themselves when it comes to Howe imo and I've watched it happen and been exasperated by it in real time. We'll never ever be successful if every single setback is widely perceived as a failing of the manager. Thankfully it still seems that that view is only held by a noisy minority.

I get the impression that he realised he wasn't getting what he was giving from some of our other players
-
What did you get?
-
It does, but we also had a chairman that could spend what he wanted
