There’s just the right amount of shithousery within our squad that they’ll be going for the kill from the start, Wilson will not give a fuck who he relegates as long as he’s on scoresheet.
I think even with our manager, if levels drop off he won’t be massively impressed.

Of Leeds or Burnley I’d choose the latter any day of the week. Awful club with shit supporters. I hope we stuff them. There’s no room for sentimentality where we wanna go anyways.

He’s on 90k now. Bruno is on 120k. Would he be after 240k+?
90? seems way too low for city -
We’re not signing Jesus. For one, his wages would be over double the next highest earner.

Wonder how much Pope would cost if Burnley go down?
It's hard to gauge keepers unless you watch them regularly, though. Dubravka seems to have a much higher reputation amongst other supporters for example than he does our own.
A great shot stopper no doubt but someone posted his stats in the match thread last weekend, his kicking stats are not the best. -
You can spend more, you just have to be clever in how deals are structured. We’ll be picked apart more than any other club in terms of FFP so all has to be above board.
The existing squad including Targett have shown they can mix it with pretty much every other side other than Liverpool and City, we might not win all those games but we’ll be competitive. Without any investment (aside from the Targett transfer?) that would easily put us in top 10 next season.
So what’s the goal?
-
I trust our manager regardless. But we must also remember that we’ve had pure incompetence and Matt Ritchie playing that position in the seasons before Targett got here.
Any significant improvement is going to appear like we’ve got someone world class in there.. the manager works with him every day so he’ll know what’s what and won’t be afraid to make an unpopular decision if needed.

It would have been the case anyway, but wasn't there only 10k in there to start with due to Covid?
Funny how you forget about stuff like that! -
The contrast is staggering. Ground half empty. We look like a league one side doing their lap.
-
Also if Villa can announce Coutinho as they already did, surely we could also do the same?
I did see some sort of doubt from the player that he knows what’s going to happen.
-
I love how even with everything that happened in the match on Monday night, him meeting Ant and Dec is probably the thing he’ll have been most excited about ?
-
I’d put that whopper out of my mind up until this point, don’t follow him on twitter etc.
-
Cannot take him seriously after all those texts leaked about him wanting big dildos stuffed into him.
Each to their own I guess but it’s a hard image to shake.
-
He has to stay. I worry Dummett’s contract extension will make the decision harder for the manager, if someone like Lodi is available.
-
As much as am enjoying this win it’s just a little bittersweet that it will give Spurs a top 4 place.
If we’d have lost tonight, that would have been my solace ?

Great save Pope
-
Darwin Nunez would be my preferred choice up front of realistic targets, he can finish from anywhere. Plus will get the spectacular goals as well.
Him and that Hugo kid could come in for just shy of 100m and link up with Wilson (if he’s fit)
That front 3 would be like a Liverpool style threat if you just get the ball up to them, pace all round.

Honestly doesn’t bother me at all. It’ll sell a ton over there and with the right sponsor could end up being iconic, perhaps for the wrong reasons but again, I don’t care.. I’ve made peace with all that.

I always assumed either the away or 3rd kit would bring some green in. Doesn’t bother me at all.
If Fun88 were going to be on the shirt they’d be up already on those leaks, but am beginning to think rather than have a sponsor at a lower fee (because we can’t justify a massive deal just yet….) that we’ll have a “Barca season” for those old enough to remember when FC Barcelona never had a shirt sponsor.
Nothing would quite say we’re rolling in it than leaving the shirt blank for a season, finishing in top 6 and then announcing something massive the following summer?!?

Another cracking press conference, talks about training ground stuff, safety and the future.
Yeah, a very good listen.. he doesn't give much away but you can definitely read between the lines, i liked that he didn't rule out Paqueta without having to actually say it.

Literally like two pages ago are the plans.
I’m aware of that, but nothing on the club website yet is what I meant. They will obviously do some sort of press about it that hasn’t happened yet -
Now that we’ve officially reached that milestone, am hoping the club can start announcing the deals they have lined up and their plans, they haven’t said anything about the upgrades to the existing training ground yet? That would be a good starting point.
