It's easy to imagine DOF/manager pairings based on the names we've been linked to. Campos/Fonesca, Rangnick/Favre, Overmars/Ten Haag. All three would be brilliant, let's face it. But in the case of Fonesca since he's the favourite, the 'risky' elements of his appointment would probably be offset by having such a good DOF arriving with him.

I don't get how he survives this top down assessment Staveley was talking about. Just look at his stats ffs (that graphic Sky used with us between 18th and 20th in every metric). Would say 8. The January window is huge and thankfully we have the ability to spend now, not like previously where our only hope would be Hamza Choudhury on loan. But winless coming up to November is very bad and our fixture list is grim - could get cut adrift.

Nice and respectful does have limits when we're 19th and winless, tbf. I think his lack of departure prob has more to do with the lack of football board/DOF being installed. But still don't see how it's not in their best interests to immediately bin him.
