Has some nice quotes from the programme last week https://www.shieldsgazette.com/sport/football/newcastle-united/newcastle-united-captain-jamaal-lascelles-revealing-behind-the-scenes-insight-3572827 Jamaal Lascelles, in his programme column for last weekend’s 1-0 win over Aston Villa, said Howe was the “first one into the training ground, doesn't go home until late at night”. “He puts absolutely everything into us doing well on a matchday,” said Newcastle’s captain. “You can see how much effort and passion and love he puts into the job.” This is more a full-time job, and Howe has set the tone at the club with his work ethic. The club’s players and staff are working hard – and the team’s getting results. Howe’s predecessor didn’t think that there was much that could be done while six of his players were away on international duty, and he angrily responded to a question about his time away from the training ground following a 4-1 defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. Bruce said: "Do you think I really have to answer that to you? That's what the fans are asking, are they? We have trained all week, and we were in every day. The preparation was meticulous, let me tell you. "There is nothing more in preparation (that could have been done). What was I supposed to do? We had six of them away. The preparation was fine, absolutely fine, and we’ve been in all week. You could see the game plan was, what we worked to.”

Howe will take us as far as he can and until that invisible ceiling's reached no point worrying about who might come after him personally... but if the club want to be prepared they'll always be making contingency plans hopefully

https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/newcastle-united-jeremy-doku-transfer-23126543?t= Newcastle United scouts are keeping tabs on exciting Belgium international winger Jeremy Doku. Chronicle Live understands that another spending spree is on the cards at St James' Park this summer as Newcastle look to strengthen in every position in the next window. Doku has been on United's radar before but the £22million rated 19-year-old, who has suffered with both knee and hamstring injuries is being monitored by head of recruitment Steve Nickson and his scouting team. The Rennes star has 10 Belgium caps and two goals to his name at international level and has been tracked by Liverpool in recent seasons. Doku can play either left-wing or right-wing and worked under former Newcastle star Craig Bellamy at Anderlecht, where he made a positive impression.

Has to be this https://www.football365.com/news/newcastle-seriously-thinking-replacing-howe-sack-mourinho-roma And Italian journalist Maurizio Catalani doubts Mourinho will be in Rome much longer with their poor displays and interest from Premier League side Newcastle. “If Roma don’t make a fair and important purchase campaign, I have my doubts that Mourinho will stay at Roma,” Catalani told Giallorossi.net (via Sport Witness). “He won’t stay here and take four goals from Verona. I know that Newcastle, who have an unlimited budget and are currently the richest club in the world, are thinking seriously about him. “Roma, on the other hand, are a team that has big flaws and with which it is difficult to build a game: it’s not good for him, but it’s not good for many other coaches… “That Mourinho will stay in June, I have big doubts…”

I think Steve Harper has it https://www.nufc.co.uk/news/latest-news/steve-harper-appointed-academy-manager/ Newcastle United are delighted to announce that Steve Harper has been appointed as the club's permanent academy manager. Harper, who is the club's all-time longest serving player having spent 20 years as a goalkeeper at St. James' Park between 1993 and 2013, moves into the role after being appointed as interim academy manager earlier this year. But titles get shifted all the time so not totally sure it's up to date

Nice to see he hasn't gone away

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10519025/Newcastle-plotting-Brighton-academy-manager-John-Morling.html Newcastle are plotting another approach to Brighton, this time for their academy manager John Morling. Newcastle have been successful in their attempts to prise technical director Dan Ashworth and defender Dan Burn away from the Seagulls. Morling joined Brighton in 2012 and has been a central figure in their improvement and growth at academy level, the club being granted Category One status and earned himself a growing reputation for developing first-team and international-quality players. He has helped oversee the progress of the likes of Ben White, Robert Sanchez, Steven Alzate, Jeremy Sarmiento, Aaron Connolly, Solly March and Jayson Molumby.

It sorts out a dedicated academy stadium which could be used for the women instead of having that off near the airport. Very lucky with the site being gifted essentially and built on a greenfield originally... but none of that city skyline charm we have

I'm a big fan of Man City's model having the stadium and training facilities next door. Not a clue whether we have much land in the city to accommodate everything though like that. One for the Reubens to think about

This time last year (might've been around April) we had videos by the club asking him why he was so lazy Happy though that things have changed, himself and other things that helps give him a different perception to one not so long ago. Just another quote I read from that feature on the site

They do need to protest properly but that's mag behaviour

Hope going for 6 weeks out https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-10512725/Newcastle-lose-star-man-Kieran-Trippier-SIX-weeks-broken-foot.html Trippier is now set for surgery and only then will the club's medical staff put a proper timescale on his return. The good news for Howe is that he should feature again this season. As long as there are no complications, players have returned from this type of injury in around six weeks.

Sorry for the source but https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/17651630/jordan-pickford-t-rex-pub-brawl/ ENGLAND goalie Jordan Pickford is at the centre of a police probe into a pub ruck after revellers mocked that he had short “T-Rex arms”. His pals were furious and a mass brawl broke out in East Boldon, South Tyneside. One lad was left with a broken nose and another with a smashed phone. Police rushed to the scene but Pickford, 27, and his friends had already left. Officers are investigating and seeking witnesses. There is no suggestion that £30million ace Pickford assaulted anyone. The ruck happened at around 9pm on Sunday at the Beggar’s Bridge pub, in East Boldon, South Tyneside. A witness said: “He was getting goaded, like they do. All I heard was ‘little arms’ and then that’s it. It kicked off. It happened as soon as they walked in. They hadn’t even had time to get a drink. One lad suffered a broken nose. “Pickford wasn’t hurt at all. He was out of the door as soon as it kicked off. Pickford’s group left by minibus before the police came.” The witness added that a lad who was filming the incident had his phone smashed by one of the star’s group.

Newcastle United Football Club have ambitious plans to top the Premier League and become a global force in the game. To achieve our goals, the Club is scaling the business and needs to build a high-calibre, robust legal department. Initially, we are looking to recruit a mid to senior level associate to take ownership of all commercial contracts and provide high quality advice on a diverse range of commercial, legal and compliance issues that impact the operations of the Club. This is a unique opportunity to join Newcastle United at the start of our exciting new journey, and to play a key strategic role in helping us achieve our goals. The ideal candidate will have a high quality academic background and robust legal training from a reputable law firm or recognised in-house legal department. Significant experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements is a must. As a guide, this role would suit a solicitor with circa 3-5 years' post qualification experience, though we would welcome applications from outside this range who can demonstrate relevant skills.

"Please help. Somehow I can’t stop being engulfed in Newcastle content on Twitter. Keep pressing option to say not interested in this content but it’s not working. It’s like a f***ing plague." was a highlight for me https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/nufc-sportswashing-2022-part-3.1570531/post-35565498

If picture isn't good: This 3 wins on the bounce and 5 unbeaten They have won the games they expected to win and got a spawny draw v Man U. Also doesn't help if there's a bag with £50000 on each of the visitors hook with a picture of someone's hands / head cut off as an alternative. This is now officially my worst time alive as a football fan. I've blocked all but 1 mag now from WhatsApp, as we have an unwritten agreement not to talk football to maintain a good friendship (goes back to the 3rd win in a row when we were the top dogs).
