  1. Iv no problem moving him on, my point is we need good money, and to have a suitable replacement in place otherwise we lose a pretty important player, and potentially go back from where we are
  2. This derailed us because we sold him so late and took gambles to replace! im not against selling Gordon, its more the fees quoted and the general attitude towards wanting him out when it weakens us…I don’t really care about the players, both Isak’s sale and Gordon’s will damage the club
  3. So if Bayern were interested in Thiaw or Man City in Hall and they fancied it we should just sell at a reasonable price? a lot of this is guess work, a lot of players with up their options this time of year, either leave or get a new deal generally
  4. Do you not think any player in our squad would?
  5. Because his output before that was pretty good (I don’t agree he’s been bad for 2 years) and given where the clubs at we’ll struggle to replace like for like! If you’re going to approach the squad like that then 90% of them will be sold! What’s clear though is judging by the clubs trying to buy him he’s pretty good
  6. I find it strange how our fanbase desperately want him gone, given we have come off a season where not replacing a key player has partly got us in a mess! Murphy’s time should be up, Elanga has been as bad as Obertan, Barnes offers very little in games for large spells (not to mention he’s 29 in a few months with his deal running down) and that’s not even mentioning how poor other signings have been. if we were in the mix to sign a 25 year old England starter ahead of Bayern, Barca, Liverpool and Arsenal the mood would be very different! Surely you can only sell if it’s way over his market value price like Isak was

    Nick Woltemade

He’s also removed DFB, can’t believe he’s giving up a chance to go to the World Cup
  8. Would hardly say they’ve kicked on given they’re 3 points ahead of us in 11th
  9. Howe could easily end up at a top club because of his work over the past 2 decades, not the last 6 months! I think before the Isak saga Liverpool could’ve been a real option given his 2 friends call the shots there! Chelsea currently have a manager with a fraction of his CV, spurs could easily be in the market again within 18 months! The disrespect of Howe and ignoring his standing in the game is similar to people saying Gordon is rubbish 6 months ago and are now surprised he’s linked to Arsenal, Liverpool, Bayern etc As a club we need a reset and some ruthless decisions with the squad! I’d have him over cheque book manager like Jose to build a squad and go again
  10. Not all sponsorships are about old school advertising exposure, a lot are strategic now..ie a tech company might partner to get a kick back by doing all the clubs tech and support going forward
  11. The problem is most clubs know about every player as we’ve seen in the last few days about the ancient links between Osula and Man U! So on that basis it’s about providing a player/agent the best options…Going from the model of a smaller club (offering agents a chance to give players a platform to move again and make them more money) V expecting agents to place their players here as a destination club is a huge shift change! Add to that it only takes the big clubs to miss out and have to spend big on a Caceido to Chelsea then hoovering up any good young player to try and avoid it which is driven by PSR!
  12. Gordon’s role is the squad may be up for debate, but what isn’t is the fact better teams than us are trying to buy him. That in itself makes me want to hold onto him, and all of our better players! He may not hit the numbers wanted this year but why weaken ourself and strengthen a team we’re already lagging behind?

    Joe Willock

    Absolutely not
  14. Van Hecke would be my choice, contract up in 18 months, solid with good distribution, a player we’ve looked at and at 25 got some room for improvement
  15. Anyone know what’s happened to young Michael Mills? not been sighted so far this season
  16. I guess SJP has a use of 19 games, the odd rugby game and a concert at the end of the season before they dig the pitch up! Spurs new stadium has a level below ground (currently a go kart and F1 experience) they can host NFL games and because the pitch is removable can host concerts and other events all your round! I know we aren’t in London but you get more options with newer stadiums

    Joelinton

His pass % isn’t as bad as you think, slightly less than a Rodri, same as a Mac Allister and more than an Onana! He’s a solid midfielder who makes us look miles better when he’s playing

    Joelinton

His ceiling? As one of the most effective midfielders in the league?
  19. Wood wouldn’t get 8-10 goals in Man City’s team starting majority of the games
