  1. If precedent is anything to go by, Mike will abort usual operating procedure and Steve will be replaced with 6 games to go by someone who actually inspires hope. And if Amanda's still hanging about she might whisper some right sexy names in his ear.
  2. I’m much more confident than then but we’ll have to see! Although I’m not as confident as I was at 9am on Good Friday when I got a call saying it had been done the previous night! And yet here we are, seven and a half months later! Corrupt w*****s! That's fair enough Paully. I was pretty confident back then in 2017, but slowly over the last 3 years that confidence has turned full circle. I do hope your confidence is well placed. So you're confident again, eh? I knew you were a cheery optimist at heart.
  3. Reasons to think it will happen - The best laywer in football is on the case and fancies a win - The government want it to happen - NCSL have their ducks lined up - Amanda Stavely will stare them out - The buyers have a history of disappearing people who wrong them - The Reubens reckon it'll happen - Ashley always gets his way - Mimms said good news is on the way - The PL have no legal way to apply Project Big Bollocks to this ongoing case - Luke Edwards says it's off - George Caulkin says it's on Reasons to think it won't happen - We are NUFC
  4. Mimms[/member] Howay, bonny lad, give us a smiley face or a picture of a Hovis granary loaf or something.
  5. I wonder if whatever Mimms[/member] heard the other day will become public and if so when? Any ideas Mimms? I'm hoping Stifleaay's prediction is right. The PL's legal team have wilted like Steve Bruce's tiddler and we've banged application number 2 in and QC De Marco has licked the stamp personally.
  6. Murphy is 25. He won't make it at this level as long as his spinach comes out his sphincter.
  7. I've given up on football too. I hate how corrupt it is. I hate how they've brought politics into it. Even if this takeover goes through, I'll not be spending any money on football again. I'd watch it and probably enjoy it but my passion is gone. I hope it goes through just to give the city a lift and to lower my old man's blood pressure.
  8. We'll never know for sure whether things would have turned out differently if Keegan had done differently, but I've since been inclined to think that Clough made the right call. Tino was a good player all right, but he wasn't the player we needed. Including him meant that the Sir Les - Pedro partnership, which had been so fruitful, was disrupted, with Beardsley being pushed out right. The weak link in the side, and the player that should have been replaced, was Gillespie. We needed a wide player. Didn't Gary Neville snap him in half around January time with a late tackle and he missed the 2nd half of the season? As I remember he was doing great and then when he was gone we were worse because the other could just focus on Ginola.
  9. These lads seem to have previous with anti competition cases, and understand have won one much larger than this. By all accounts O’Donoghue is also a leading anti competition QC, so absolutely no reason not to believe in them. Plus Mimms has pretty much said that this is a coordinated effort, supported by the buyers and with De Marco in well involved. By the sounds of it, everything NCSL say and do is carefully planned from a legal perspective. This isn't Niall and Biffa spouting off whatever they fancy. It's also quite telling that Liam Kennedy is getting first dibs on these stories and interviews. Again, as Mimms has said, it seems Kennedy is somewhat in the loop.
  10. - A nation state who have their swords up the governments arse - The government - The richest Jews in Britain - The Messi of football law - The biggest cnut in sports retail Only where NUFC is concerned could that lot somehow not have the political leverage to get this done in two minutes.
  11. Aye, the "because of the way Bird & Bird are proceeding" line makes it sound as if they're being right awkward gits. I wonder if this will effect us in the future. They might hold a perma-grudge against us and go through Mbappe and De Bruyne's paper work with the finest of fine combs to try and catch us out.
  12. What’s the significance of 30th October? I think he was suggesting that Money Mike's disappearance may have coincided with the inception of the legal proceedings, which would put us close to three weeks in. I need my Mimms[/member]
  13. This point? They've been involved since the start. I know that. But I wonder if Fenway and Masters are still frantically pinging the texts back and forth, or are they now having to back off, what with our whole legal case being built around their involvement? I can picture the scene. Masters picks up the phone in front of the arbitration panel. "Hi Chris, it's Dick... yeah... sorry mate, I'm gonna have to let you go.... I know, but what you've done is unacceptable and..." "The time sponsored by Accurist is..."
  14. I wonder how involved Qatar and the Project Big Bollocks members are at this point.
  15. I'll tell you what, if this does go through, our games against Liverpool might be a bit spicy.
  16. I'm not going to pretend to understand the legal technicalities but if Big Daddy De Marco's co-ordinating the attack then I'm going to presume more thought has gone into it than the attacking strategies we're used to seeing. Luke Edwards knows nowt. Ben Jacobs is a bum feeler. Hopefully, Mimmsy will drop in again soon to give us our dopamine hit.
  17. Batty was last into training, first to leave and spoke to no one. Shearer even speculated, "I'm not sure if he liked football."
  18. Where has it been confirmed that the Staveley/Saudi consortium are currently party to a legal dispute with the Premier League? My mistake. I misread Kennedy's part about two ongoing legal battles. I still think this great news though. The club/Ash is being represented by De Marco and they're working the case now. How is that not a good thing? Mimms' claims and predictions have lined up too. Let's hope he's right about the other good stuff he said.
  19. Sorry lads, I'm gonna have to break kayfabe. I don't understand why people are downplaying this. This is big news for several reasons. 1. It's confirmation that buyer and seller are currently entrenched in a legal battle with the PL and that De Marco QC is involved. This wasn't known this morning. We only had optimistic suspicion. 2. Mimms' claims that the NCSL is just a front looks to have been proven true. The PL, in their 9 page letter, advised NCSL not to pursue action at this time as their dual legal battle with PIF and Fat Ash are ongoing. 3. The fact that Mimms has been proven correct should give everyone cause for optimism since his overall tone is generally very positive. "Confident the deal will go through." 4. I also don't fully understand the significance or the technicalities surrounding the breach of confidentiality but if the best sports lawyer in Britain is on the case and going to hedge my bets and say it is significant.
