The duality of a Newcastle transfer window
  2. This is the corner we've been backed into. My biggest concern is whether Isak is willing to properly apply himself this season or if he'll phone it in with a series of phantom injuries! But no matter what, we can't sell him for a penny less than the 150m stated, I'd even argue we have every right to up that price as an 'inconvenience tax' as we'll be scrambling around the bargain bins for his replacement. The irony is that he'd probably be in Liverpool already is the dippers didn't swipe his replacement away from us.

Laughable link aside, is this really how PIF envisaged the Saudi Pro League? Are they really expecting to take viewers away for the top European leagues by signing nothing other than has-beens and cartel flops?
  4. Just dropped into this thread to say how much I adore this man. This summer has been fucking brutal, from realising that our club is a rudderless ship with no leadership, to having carcinogenic shills like Romano giving us hourly updates about how no player worth a damn wants to join our club, taking glee in tweeting that they 'only want *insert cartel club here*' and every other devastating blow in between, of course including our best player in generations turning into a cowardly cunt. Despite all that, Eddie Howe give me hope that we'll always have a chance of acheiving something, he is our single greatest asset and it's utterly shameful that we haven't been able to provide with the tools he needs to take us up a level.

But remember, it's Liverpool who the BBC and the national media have a collective agenda against!

I'm at the point where I don't even care if he's an improvement on Schar (I doubt he is), my expecatations have been eroded so badly thatI'm now at the point where I'd be content just to see a living, breathing humanoid sign for us, if only to prove that it's not beyond the realms of metaphysical possibility for professional footballers to sign for us.

    Welcome to Tottenham Malick
  8. Why are we even fishing in the same pond as the cartel? Man Utd can afford to spend over 200m on Antony, Sancho and Hojlund, watch them flop and then immediatley go back out and spend a further 200m on attackers. We can barely afford Elanga to go wrong so what are thinking by shelling out 70m on this little twerp who never fancied us in the first place. I wish we'd be smarter. We should be snapping up the likes of Pedro, Ekitike, Sesko, Wissa before they establish themselves at good teams. Can we not occupy the space between the Brightfordmouth type teams and the cartel until we have what it takes to take the cartel head on? I.e.e our current place in the football food chain. The cartel spend big money on proven players cause it's easy, the Brightfordmouths don't have that luxury so they find intelligent ways to make the best of what they have. We need to get the smart scouting systems in place and then blow the lesser PL teams away the same way the cartel do with us. The best signings we can make is at the board/recruitment team level. As it stands, we're once again giving Eddie Howe a lump of coal and asking him the carve a statue.
  9. We've now forced Chelsea, Liverpool, City and Man Utd into buying players they didn't really want. Let's bid for Ramos and try again with Wissa to get Arsenal & Spurs to reluctantly take them from us, then we'll have completed our 'Gazumped by the Cartel' bingo card.
  10. A growing feeling? It's been bleeding obvious from the start! If he ever had any intention in joining us ahead of them he'd have been here already.

Yep, I got the feeling that with every player we signed, we have meticulously scouted them to within an inch of their lives, including but not limited to character references to see if they'd fit the teams culture. Now it seems like we've gone for the scattergun approach and are just lurching from target to target willy nilly. I don't belive for one second that we've put in anywhere near as much time in scouting Jackson as we did for anyone bought before 2024. It seems more a case of 'ah yeah, he's got something we can work with, take!'. It would be utterly depressing to get Jackson, Chelsea would basically be scraping their left overs into our doggy bowl after they cockblocked us for Delap and Pedro
  12. I wish this little gimp would just fuck off to Man Utd already so we can open up the Kolo Muani thread.

I wish the cartel got their way and fucked off to the ESL and left the rest of us to it.
  14. This. I could never get myself excited by this link, maybe cause it was soon after being burnt by Ekitike and Pedro but I saw the way he carried on with Arsenal, he was clearly angling for a move to a cartel club so it was clear from the offset our name was being used to smoke the cartel out yet again. We now look like we're missing out to a team that doesn't seem to really want him, but they'll have him just because he's avaialble and they can afford to have a big money signing backfire because PSR is no object to them. Even if we end up with this chump, he'll no doubt kick up a fuss in 2 years time cause he 'only wants *insert cartel club here*' The collective message from the cartel and all their ghouls in the media has been a big fat 'know your place Geordie scum'
  15. If Romano ever had the chance to feel the warm, loving caress of a woman's touch, he wouldn't be the way he is now would he?

  20. I was never fussed about this cunt as I always felt it would play out like this, but by God is it depressing seeing us being mocked by the cartel and all their media shills.
  21. It's the Newcastle United Summer Transfer Window of 2025. We all know how the story ends.
