I think from Hall’s perspective I can see why he would be fucked off. Weeks before the World Cup where he probably knew his window was closing, the manager very publicly shows he doesn’t trust you in your preferred position, relying on a CB playing out there. I think he was the probably already out of the squad for other factors, but his last chance was howked like.
Progression = caught earlier but not responded to treatment
Diagnosis of stage 4 = caught it very very late, and chances of survival (depending on type) low
Is it really though? Getting stronger every day? It might just be my perspective but I do struggle sometimes with the discourse around cancer being something that can be beaten with positivity and “fighting hard”. Seen enough of it to know otherwise. And I’m all for positive mindset as a psychologist. You don’t just beat this shit with vibes though.
Don’t blame club at all for making a statement on it tbh. Think it would be weird not to as the story references the club. It is also maybe not news for NUFC fans but I have had messages from supporters of other clubs talking about it, so it has reached beyond the sphere of people that were aware.
Don’t get rid. See if he could play as a false 9? I don’t love him as a winger but I think he has always had the attributes to play up top. He doesn’t have blistering pace, but his awareness is better than any of our strikers, he times his runs well, he can score in loads of different ways.
Technically speaking, he’s never a Barcelona player in a million years. He’s no slouch but he’s nowhere near the level of their lads in terms of ball control, striking, passing, dribbling. But I am chuffed he’s gone.
I’m beginning to turn I think. The form has been so poor for so long, with no real uptick in performances. I do not feel like next season is looking positive tbh. Hope I’m wrong. I also have no idea who we could / should go for if we sacked him, but I think we probably do need new ideas now
