I think from Hall’s perspective I can see why he would be fucked off. Weeks before the World Cup where he probably knew his window was closing, the manager very publicly shows he doesn’t trust you in your preferred position, relying on a CB playing out there. I think he was the probably already out of the squad for other factors, but his last chance was howked like.

Good, we need experienced heads in the mix and we can maybe put off the CB recruitment for a year and scout some prospects.

Is it really though? Getting stronger every day? It might just be my perspective but I do struggle sometimes with the discourse around cancer being something that can be beaten with positivity and “fighting hard”. Technically speaking, he’s never a Barcelona player in a million years. He’s no slouch but he’s nowhere near the level of their lads in terms of ball control, striking, passing, dribbling. But I am chuffed he’s gone.

I like him as a player. However, I just don’t see what type of football you play to get him in positions to score 15 goals a season. Not just in Howe’s system but any system.

I think we sell him regardless. Getting 75m isn’t going to happen, but I think we need to move on the lads who don’t want to be here. We take the profit and roll. We want to be good sellers of course but we also want players committed to the club. We’ve obviously had an issue with player power here and we need a reset. Get rid of the ones that don’t want it here and move on.

For 40 big ones, he’s been useless to be honest. You can’t sugar coat that he’s offered very little of note this season. But I do think there’s a player in there, just don’t believe it’s where we are playing him. Could see him playing as an inverted winger if Gordon moves on tbh

Think he’s finished here tbh. Even if Howe moves on I can’t really see a manager coming in and trusting him to lead the line at a club with our ambitions in the PL. It would be a major risk.

No idea why Bayern want him. He’s just not their level and never will be. Massive caveat about the potential replacement, but he’s not even been good enough for us really (champions league aside)
