  1. We have a good chance, the Isak money was so large that we can still come out of this with a really positive outcome, the money from Isak is spread over 3 years. We can still have an incredible and more technical Summer mainly funded by the sale of a total crock. We could sign 20 players if we wanted just from Isak, who was already injury prone and may never be the same player again after a leg break.
  2. I don't think any of those defectors even like football. Politics seems to atract odd people that claim to supoort a team but don't, very odd people. If a bloke doesn't like football genuinely, I find it hard to trust them.
  3. Ekitike would have never joined us, he views us as inferior. Liverpool are paying him 250k a week with plenty of extras.
  4. We've got the best player in the world on he bench because Eddie wants to play Trippier. (i am being silly ) but yeah that's it really.

Maybe he is. I think he's unique and will become very good. People need to chill.
  6. Our scouting team is still good, Eddie drove through our poor transfers this Summer.
  7. It's been the best 4 years ever supporting newcastle. I was a fan as a kid when we lost the league and FA cup twice and I remember it all, but I prefer right now. Right now is my favourite, even if we're a bit shit. The reason is the hope, and the knowledge we have backing and a few lucky signings can change everything.
  8. I like it. We have some great players now. Not their fault the tactics are shite. I still enjoy every game and I have supreme hope for the future. Before the takeover we had no hope, we had nothing. We'll get some luck soon.

I think he's great, just needs some help from our staff, if they think he's weak, bulk him up, if they think he's not scoring then find him a better position. It's really simple stuff.

However IF they really wanted him as an aggressive target man, why isn't he on a bulk up routine? Just poor management tbh.

Been used terribly as a result of one dimensional coaching, eventually his optimism has faded resulting in less output.
  12. Indeed, I've accepted it. On to the next game, all good.
  13. Thanks Rod, appreciate you and I understand where you're coming from.
  14. He wouldn't admit a pass could be played here.
  15. I'm 39 and have had 7 pints. I have a degree yes, from many moons ago. My point was pretty uncontroversial, games do have an ebb and flow to them, and momentum can shift. I am not seeking to insult you or be tricky, this is not a wild concept, momentum is just a normal part of football.
  16. If you can't understand simple concepts like "momentum" that are abstract but very real and have shaped football from inception, then I can't really help you. You don't think 60+k capacity stadium getting behind their team doesn't affect the opposition? The reaction to this is to prevent their flow and quieten the crowd and shift the momentum. This isn't witchcraft by the way it's pretty normal... that's why teams win at home more often...
  17. I'll simplify it, the momentum had changed from us to them.
  18. Indeed sometimes good management is just accepting the "vibe, energy, QI" isn't flowing in your direction and trying to wrestle that back, sounds philosophical but it came to pass.
  19. Because the writing was on the wall, unfortunately.
  20. Once we went 2-1 down, I'd have just changed formation and threw on some randoms, why not. Some of those lads sit on that bench every week and never get a chance.
  21. Not gonna give him huge grief after losing away at Anfield. But there is no eternal law prohibiting him from just changing things at half time.
  22. He even heard them blocking him all the way from here.
  23. You can be sarcastic, I don't mind. A 20 million replacement for Trippier was not beyond the realm of possibility. If you think so then fair enough.

If you won't even concede that a square pass was possible after consulting the video and seeing these pretty conclusive image stills. The fair enough, I am happy to be called a nutter.
