  1. Meh, go away - wrong on all the counts. The mass following of football couldn't give a blind toss to the wind if Women's football even existed. What's the best way to a $1M for a Woman playing in the WBA? Starting an Onlyfans. Okay, maybe I'm wrong. But I bet Emil Krath's thread has more traction in the next 3 months than this - aside from responses here...
  2. Details are boring. Even more boring than what's being said right now... Bet a few Billion lads around the world 'follow' birds because they look good. Go away mate.
  3. I'm still pinching myself now and again, but the whole buzz and 'cans energy' was lost lost for me with Bruce still being in charge at Palace... The first action should have been flying back to a desert, and dangling his neck from a crain....
  4. Do you think your child will grow? If not, see a Doctor. Otherwise throw balls at her and make her catch them with one hand eyes closed - when she catches 10,000, get back to us. My advice would be to start close with ping pong balls, eventually leading up to a bowling ball.
  5. We should create a new thread for the U15's etc. U12's on that basis- they are also playing for the 'club'. People who force interest of Women's football onto other people are the worst of the worst in the football community as far as I'm concerned. Mass majority couldn't give a fuck - unpopular opinion to say, but nobody gives a rats ass about Women's football - it's shit. Standards shit. People who watch football, enjoy football; but I don't think you can like both... People who watch Women's sports watch the 2nd Court at Wimbledon and know by name who the up and coming child Chinese gymnasts are. Likely worded this wrong, but still I know many will actually read this and understand - I wish I never heard the term 'Women's Football' ever again. I'm not forced constant updates about Polo, Basketball or Badminton.
  6. Am I looking looking at this whole thing wrong, but is having a single player being lorded 'best in the World' quite boring? In Xavi's last season at Barca, I'd be more excited when Xavi was coming on for the last 15/20 min - I'd watch him; watch him never fuck up a pass. Same was with Iniesta. Wasn't at all bothered with the MSN palaver. 2021 now proves personal recognition is most important - the 'Brand' has become important. Ballon'dor used to be something, this years it's reinforced it's more than a PR stunt. If there is somewhere a 12-15 year old lad in our academy somewhere that could one day become become Ballon'd'Or - in 10-15 years being told you are the best Footballer Player in The World will mean nothing.
  7. Nobody has been that great this year, so let's give it to Messi anyway - that seems the approach. but muh, he Copa America. The comedown from the Messi/Ronaldo era was always going to be hard to be negotiated - I can understand Modric, but this is taking the piss. Lewandowsi beating Muller's record, for years being best striker in the world ... (aside from Ronaldo) Even looking at starting line up in the Copa fnal I'd say Emiliano Martínez and Taro Martínez both had better season than Messi.
  8. Is Zatie Zelem any good? She a women player I've followed.
  9. I'd rather not want to have to see ASM defend and track full backs. Mourinho and Conte had a hard time with enough with Hazard. ASM is no Hazard. The half hour of ASM being fucked over and run upside down by a Victorian street urchin in a Brighton kit last season is enough to tell me he never need play wide.
  10. Sugar coating what a talisman means, but if Kevin Nolan and Andy Carroll have a place in your heart, who am I to deny it? Nolan has never been anyone managers talisman. He was always Big Sam's puppy dog - great at Bolton, great in Championship, but just could never keep up in the PL with West Ham. Nolan's influence played a part, but does disrespect to Barton, Harper, Butt, Smith, Carroll, Shola, Enrique, Colo... Can't forget anyone that scores hat trick, but calling Kevin Nolan a talisman - no ideas, heads gone...
  11. I think Bruce in certain games gave ASM a total free role when playing wide, or centrally. Last season at Home to Brighton, Lamptey proved that ASM should never be played wide; within 10mins Lamptey had ASM in his pocket and ASM had no idea to defend, or close space whilst in a defensive structure. Until we sign a 2021/22 Ashley Cole/Maldini hybrid ASM shouldn't be playing wide. He's our best player, play him closest to our second best player - Wilson. Bruce played him centrally
  12. I'd rather see ASM play centrally, even in a 442 playing off Wilson ahead of Gayle than playing out wide. In football in 2021, it's easier to attack centrally - we need our best player close to our best goal scorer. "playing in the center all season when Bruce..." LOL. Citing Steve Bruce. "centre halves nowadays have the pace as well as the strength and positioning to compete with quick players" Aye, so do right backs - like little pricks like Tariq Lamptey.
  13. "Redundant football" - Gary Neville. Apparently sitting off the best side in the world, and still getting a win... Because Sky Sports' highest paid pundit said so. Even peak Barcelona/Guardiola didn't win La Liga in 11/12 - Real Madrid won. Real, Getafe and Osasuna beating them. Not many teams pull off beating City going at them. Watford tried and got hit for 6-0 in a FA Cup final - now that's embarrassing. Bruce's approach against City in the FA Quarter Final took the piss though.
  14. ASM's best postition is in the centre, it's daft to think or believe otherwise. Playing left or right he naturally takes on greater responsibility in defence with having to track full backs and being greater involved in defensive structures. It's easier for structured defences to pocket-defend him when he's close to a touch line, especially when he's having to track a full back and 50-75 yards away from the attacking goal. He said playing as a 10 is his favourite place to play, 7 mins in...
  15. Somewhat related.... a clash of generations, the final change of a guard - 'Cabaye-Barton' partnered each other in midfield played against Sunderland away in the Ryan Taylor over the Wall game. Never have Nolan or Carroll down as talisman personally. Couldn't give a toss that Carroll's career sank like fuck the moment Ashley's helicopter landed in Liverpool.
