As above I think we will sign one more biggish name then two (loans) or smaller fees with players with potential or squad players with more quality than we currently have The owners / hierarchy always said it was a slow build , which is fine with me it does put pressure on all of our signings to be the exact fit (or we will temporarily plateau / fall slightly behind) We just have to be patient and build our revenue streams It will make it more satisfying when we do open the cheque book up and compete at the top

100% agree , it’s nice to see women / girls being given the chance in all sports ….they can now give it a go and have something to aim for. Being professional can only help the sport/ sports to improve. The men’s game has been professional for 100+ years and women have a long way to go. it’s only been about 5/6 years since women turned professional in this country so playing catch up. It will be interesting to see where they will be in 10/15 years time. Standards will definitely rise.

Nah , that’s not true unfortunately. They had 26 players last year 10 released. Left with 16 players now all being offered pro contracts (soon) not yet. Newcastle will be looking for potentially 6/8 new players to sign before the season starts. (As they want a slightly smaller squad) Daisy hasn’t signed anything yet , no one has been offered anything yet. The info / deal to go professional was only agreed last night. Exciting times ??
