No - Howe gives players chances he feels are worth it and if he happens to play Murphy today thinking he’s earned that then I haven’t a problem with it because when he came on last game I think his crosses were the only ones coming into the box at the time. Miggy has had a great season but he needs a rest and to me that seems obvious. Everybody on here agrees that they want the results to get better but seem to have a problem with making changes to get there.

If howe had taken the same opinion a long time ago with joelington way back then - it would have been a damn shame.

You’re right - wasting his time crossing the ball in the box, we don’t need that kind of play going on.

But in my opinion miggy is just as responsible for so many moves breaking down due to him cutting in and everyone on the pitch knowing he’s going to do it. Murphy came on last couple of games and got good crosses in but nobody on the end. I do believe with more time on the pitch he’ll get an assist or maybe two.

Not sure why you think this is a bad thing to be honest, a team that’s just come up from division one winning one nil and as it stands sitting in tenth with a win today will leave them 20 points from safety and only 5 from the play offs. As it stands this has been a very good season for them.

I was about to reply half way through reading it then I read your last paragraph and there was no point as that was exactly what I was going to say. i think tripps going forward has been poor recently as had his deliveries, it’s great this set up got us this far but maybe time to freshen up a little. Manquillo is never the solution to anything though.

I think Brighton definitely will but after that i feel it's down to our goal scoring, otherwise we'll be averaging a point a game and i think Fulham will catch us eventually. Sort that out though and i'll be confident of anything up to 4th. This is a season defining moment I feel with next two games and if we do what we did with Leeds and West Ham then 8th, win them then 4th - 6th just because of the confidence boost it will give.
