Always be grateful to Howe but I honestly have problems seeing how he’ll be here come the end of the season.

Thing is the other teams have adapted and we haven’t, they’re now coming up against us prepared and getting rewarded for it.

It’s like so many managers have sussed it now and he’s not willing to gamble and change - we know he can as he did back end of last season and it worked a few times. This season though Howe has looked one dimensional as a manager so far to be honest.

It’s not as if it’s the first time longstaff has done that - he offers more to the game when he goes hiding. I’d rather we drop him and trust Miley more to be honest. Some players are just bulletproof in Howes eyes yet some others have to work so much harder for the same opportunities

I genuinely believe if he’d stayed Howe wouldn’t have given him games like Brighton have, we have an Italian international who can’t get on the pitch ffs

I read Linekars biography many years back so memory hazy and this may be out of context but he stated that he spent so much time learning how to read the game so he knew how and when to be in the right place. He said to do it consistently is a skill.

He will eventually, we know eddies style - he’ll start coming on after 75 minutes in about half way through the season then that’ll move up to the 60th minute mark for next season.

Is he though? I’ve never watched him week on week but I did enough digging in their forum to find quite a few incidents both before we were linked and during of their fans saying he often gets caught and done like that. (Their not going to say it now though) Ive always thought - if both are 100% then on their day I’d rather have Botman.
