I wonder if pope was playing with an injury hence his drop of form recently and we bought him partially to give us breathing space to allow pope to recover. Not saying we still shouldn't buy a new keeper (not Ramsdale imo) buy a fully recovered pope Back to his best form for us if always a bonus.

(Disclaimer: they've spent over 100M I think so is it the same team?) - regardless of us getting a win and a draw against the other two promoted teams, we played Leeds with no forwards and had to have Gordon up front yet still got a draw.

You say they underestimated them then say it's unacceptable they beat us - are you also not underestimating them with that statement? Look the league table doesn't lie. They've been beaten four times this season and three of them teams are above us in the league with only one team below us managing to beat them. Hate it or not they've spent well and after playing well - this isnt the mackems laughing stock we all hoped would stink out the premiere league.

I'm going to be argumentative here - I don't know if you're referring to last CL game or upcoming derby. If it was CL game, was that a bad result? Imo it was a decent draw.

I mean you're leaving out we beat man city, unbeaten in last 4 prem games with 10 from 12 points, only team to beat Everton in their last 5 games and we did it convincing - all this whilst juggling a CL campaign and another cup run. We can both zoom in on individual factors too prove a point, I get you think he may not be the best manager out there but there's definitely much worse, the grass isn't always greener.

He needs to start for me, I don't think there's been a single game this season where he's come on and we don't look much better for him being on the pitch. If we keep ignoring him because he's not one of Howes undropables then I feel we'll lose him at some point.

30% still puts us in top third of spenders which still takes us out of the plucky underdogs category.

This one's just raw facts - in those 4 games he's faced 9 shots on target, made 3 saves and conceded 6 goals. I personally don't care about xg etc but in my opinion that's not good enough.

He's conceded 6 goals in last 4 prem games - when your forwards have to score 2 goals on average per game to have any chance of picking points up then it gives you a hill to climb. Nick popes in comparison is 1.06 goals per game but 22 -24 it was 0.86 average goals per game. In my opinion that's what we need to be getting back to.

Or tiredness - he's put a shift in this season already, I think lazy is harsh.

He doesn't seem to be able to keep going for 90 minutes for me, all of Popes faults aside more often then not he can see games out and cope with the pressure when needed.

I still honestly don't rate him as a keeper, didn't before we signed him, when we signed him or now.
