As I said and genuinely believe he'll turn what we're draws into wins and losses into draws with his saves. I get the issues with his kicking but that's a secondary skill, what you need as an essential skill from a goal keeper is the ability to keep the goal.
  2. Genuine question - if you look at every game in isolation rather than stepping back and looking at them collectively, do you ever conclude a change in tactics could be worth trying or spot occuring patterns?
  3. Then after this post I'll stop posting after negative as well, to be honest mentioned this once and don't want to do it again but step daughter died not so long ago and football forums aren't that high up in my worries where my head is at. Don't need this shit
  4. Not at all, I'm just pointing out facts and am sick to the bach teeth of anyone that says anything negative about Howe getting labelled you just have to me. Look I rate Pope and for what it's worth imo at the moment we're in a dip not helped as from last season we've lost the big man up front and the big man at the back. I genuinely believe that alone will be giving the others a little less fight, belief etc but until that gets sorted then Howe needs to think outside the box a little and banging the same drum with lineups, subs leading to the same results and therefore the same discussions on here is frustrating me. Think of me what you want, personally I pride myself in the fact I never slag others off and just discuss and feel the forum would be better if we all did that.
  5. Could well be - to us were removed from the situation, by that I mean he was a work colleague and a friend took them. We don't know their feelings on the whole saga.
  6. And for the others like the Brentford's, Leeds getting a draw, Sunderland, West ham, Bournemouth getting a draw, Brighton?
  7. It is a shame and I truly hope he can turn it round but if he doesn't the hard truth is everything ends badly otherwise it wouldn't end.
  8. Coupled with teams are basically getting the first goal and shutting up and it seems to be that easy at the moment as man U and Sunderland showed. Other teams that's come behind when we're winning just hit us in the second half, especially straight after kick off or last ten minutes. We seem to be so transparent at the minute.
  9. We have spent £545m on players since they took over so you could argue they're getting some things right.
  10. Nobidy calling for it as I can see just people saying it could be on the horizon and it could be. This ownership have never sacked a manager yet so none of us know when they call it a day, totally unknown situation we're in so this is he isn't he is pointless really.
  11. Guess we'll find out when pope comes back and we start keeping clean sheets again and I fully believe we will.

Not seeing your point, we're getting no shots on target now. Also those first three games we were playing with Gordon up front for most of not all, that also contributes to lack of shots on target.

Wasting your time mate, we've never struggled like this with pope in goal, like ever and start of season we were struggling to win as we had nothing up front but we were keeping clean sheets, only one of those two points have changed now - we're still struggling to score goals.

Selective memory there, I can also do that - first three away games this season Pope kept clean sheets in all of them. A skilset Ramsdale simply doesn't have
  15. Agreed - the last three seasons with out cup and two CL proves pope isn't a hindrence but a help.
  16. My point being if we have a keeper whose keeping one clean sheet every other game (6 in 12) as opposed to one every ten games (Ramsdale's for us in all games this season) then we stand a better chance. Also pope has kept over 40 clean sheets for us since signing with around 30% of them being one nil victorious. With Ramsdales record it would take around a decade to match that 40 clean sheets.
  17. It is back to square one in building from the back but in all competitions it's 6 clean sheets in 12 against 1 in 10 so it's five steps forward in getting 1 - 0 victories
  18. Never mentioned your or anyone's name but a lot of people on here saying he's not good enough for us or I wouldn't be upset if he never plays for us again. Personally I just don't get that opinion on him. My opinion is when pope returns then games like that we'll get over the line and bring the three points home
  19. I genuinely don't think we'd have got CL twice if we had Ramsdale in the team. People on here are quick to praise everyone for their parts in that except Pope. He's not perfect and it may be time for us to upgrade but I still reckon a lot of teams would be better if they had Pope in it
  20. Totally fine as a loan backup but that's his limits for me. Dyche always got credit for keeping Burnley up so many seasons but I've always kept my opinion that it's no coincidence their luck ran out and they got relegated the season we bought Pope.
  21. Agreed but 6 clean sheets in 12 against 0 in 6. The team can't skew then that much.
  22. He's gone down more times then my wife - at least once.
