We had to sell to buy last year and wrote an IOU for Lewis hall. I imagine it’ll be pretty tight. This summer for me needs to be getting shot of some unwanted players and cutting the wage bell. I’d be looking to sell migggy, target (if we can) and if a good price comes along Longstaff

I think you’re right - I was thinking next Jan but I think I’m a year out. Edit - it was Jan 22 we spent big so I don’t think it will drop off this summer.

My working out is after the take over we went big in the initial January- spending around £150m so we have another window at least to get through. Even then the money may be released at the end of next season rather than straight away in Jan. I know nothing about the rules so am only factoring in the rolling three years.

Same rolling Three year rules though just the new 85% profit thing eventually coming down - it’s not a hard reset.

So just the RM, striker, CM and keeper then - where is this money coming from? As far as I understand it is we’re almost up to the ffp limit.

Man City signing Grealish from Villa as well when they were stuck in mid table at the time.
  7. Man City surely don’t spend much - have massive sponsorship and CL money as well as that dodgy ground sponsorship. i reckon they probably could
  8. A lot of articles reporting Arsenal will sell home grown players to fund it as they are 100% profit.
  9. 100% agree - annoys me when people label anyone from that team as bad signings (Chris wood included) as they marched us up the league and for around 10 minutes or so we were sitting at 9th if I remember correctly.
  10. I say it because I lived in north London and knew a lot of them along with spurs and a few West Ham. Out of the three groups - you couldn’t have a two way conversation with an Arsenal fan as they’re not interested in taking about anything but Arsenal in my experience.
  11. With no pressure on them anymore - a lot of teams at the top are showing pressure with Man U 2 wins out of 9 and Liverpool dropping points quicker than a Xmas tree in January. Also isn’t this 4 wins 1 draw and 1 loss in last 6 for us? Hardly worrying form
  12. Anthony almost crying on the pitch - 2 wins from the last 9 apparently
  13. One of my mates said before the game as sheff Utd have accepted they’re going down then he has a bad feeling about this game today as they’ll be playing with no pressure on them”. I told him he was being ridiculous
  14. ? this thread is fucked up - must be delays half the people saying “this is fucked up, what are we doing?” and the other saying “yes that’s more like it” lol
  15. They’re clubs based in Manchester the ffp or any other regs don’t apply to them.
  16. I miss it as well - I lived on Alexandra park Road, opposite the Maid of Muswell pub most of the time but also lived on Grasmere Road. renting obviously as the houses cost millions there - I like it because it hasn’t got a tube station of its own so has a cut off feel about it.
  17. I lived in muswell hill for twenty years and still have a lot of good mates who are spurs fans and this is the general feeling amongst them as well. They seriously hate arsenal with a passion.
  18. That’s a bit harsh on palace - in the last three games they’ve beaten Liverpool, West Ham and us - keeping a clean sheet against Liverpool at their place and against us. We have no automatic right to be “absolutely beating” them.
  19. The fucker not been sacked yet?
  20. Is it luck when they’ve done it for two seasons on the spin now?
  21. Oh I don’t know any one of the championship sides who showed so much fight and spirit, picked themselves up to the point even though they lost - to everyone but Man U fans they are the ones that like winners. You don’t have to be on the winning team to be man of the match.
